1. its 1940 and france has a total of 38 divisions.

2. operation fall gelb aka invasion of the low countries fires March instead of May, thats 2 months early. i didnt even have my armies in position.

3. attack on denmark and norway also fires way too early

4. ground attack and interdiction are very useless, how can i increase their effectiveness and is it a good idea?

5. the polish army took very long for their organization and strength to drop even if its my 10 divisions attack their 4 divisions from different sides. however thats not a problem but i assume i'm doing something wrong, the invasion of poland finished 29 october instead of 6th october.

6. nationalist china has 109 divisions japan has only 29 and the rest are garrisons...

Are you using AoD? I've noticed same issues and I'm now editing and testing the AI behavior, mostly for China and Japan.

There are issues with AoD V1.07 referring to the points 1 and 6 in the first post. See these AoD forums:

I have modified the AI files with these quidelines:

- removed all Militia builds from the AI files
- changed the Japan AI build to contain more infantry and longer serials, stopping the IC builds earlier
- removed most of the the build_division commands from the AI event files (they only fill the whole build queue with a lot of one division builds)
- given the Chinese IC and GDE penalties.

With these changes Japan now has a change to win, but only if not all the Chinese nations join the war. In my latest test game the Nationalist China had about 40 (all together about 150) and Japan about 55 divisions when the war broke out.

Don't know if this is the right solution though. The result is more "professional" and somewhat smaller armies, but given the Iron Cross's larger amount of provinces it can lead to a totally crazy break throughs and pockets. What I have seen so far in my test games a better option for AI could be a huge army of militia and cavalry units, maybe with some light armor.

what about events firing too early its really annoying when it kicks in 2 months early and I have no choice but to declare war or just reject the whole plan and receive dissent. what do you suggest?

When events fire early and the choice is accept or receive dissent, you could decline, receive the dissent and use event 1009 (-3 dissent) to reduce the dissent. Then declare whenever you're ready.

NOTE! This is for IC V1.02 Beta with AoD V1.07 only. Any other combination can cause problems. And you also need to start a new game.
