1. What stores, if any, carry the game?

2. How does multiplayer work? Is there a browser? I know there's no base building, so how do the battles work?

3. Exactly how do the Russians keep from getting owned by US air power?

2. Multiplayer's done from within the game, you set up a 1v1 using Steam's infrastructure. The idea is, essentially, to kill the other team's fleet There are some objectives too.

3. The US isn't that prominent in the game until late-campaign, due to a storyline that involves the bulk of North Atlantic US tonnage transferring to the Pacific (lolsequel). So really, it's a case of the UK/Scandinavian/Nordic countries vs Russia, with her numerous airbases

I've had a look around (GAME, Gamestation, HMV, G-Force etc), but the PC games section is now is so pitiful that you won't find much other than big titles.

It requires Steam anyway so there is no benefit to buying a retail disk version, even if there is one.

Also I got a question: Does the game have events, decisions and geopolitical stuff such as in HOI3? I'm also wondering how much "grandscale" it is, stuff that you can do apart from sending a ship here and there. I suppose the naval warfare part is a lot better than that of HOI3 which was very flawed, but how does it differ in gameplay?

There is no "grand scale" stuff. This is a more pure real time strategy/tactics game. That does not mean its not complex or deep (it is both) but rather that focus is on the fighting rather than the politics.
