Hi all, i am a player of herts of iron since the first one.

I already have seen good and bad improvements. But this one is give me too much questions:

1. Can we edit a division without use experience points?? Usually at the beginning of a game i always edit my divisions. And as experience become with war that would means we cannot constructe our army as we want.

2. If we build two kind of infantry we need to have the doble of experience points?? (one to defend and other to attack)

3. What appens with the armored car and tank destroyer??

4. And what appens with milicia???

Thanks for the attention.

1. No, as far as i know. That way you schould be not able to make you divisions perfect while in peace time.

2. Thats what i understand. You need to invest the exp points for every division. I hope that i did understood that wrong.

3. They are cut most likely. https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/foru...development-diary-28th-of-august-2015.879058/
But i bet with the first big Mod they will be added again.

4. The system is different in HoI now. Like when you build troops and you have enough MP, you can instant-deploy them. They lack traning and equipment then mostly, but thats what comes near that. (Great for Russia i think ;).)

Just to put your mind slightly at ease: bear in mind you can always earn some experience points for your army by doing trainings and exercises. Not as many as in actual battle presumable, but enough to slightly alter your divisions before war breaks out.

However, if I remember correctly, it was one of the aims of the developers to ensure that players cannot fully use the advantage of hindsight and game experience to create the perfect divisions in 1936, before any fighting has even started, and therefore decided in their infinite wisdom to prevent players from doing so by introducing the experience system.

It will always cost experience to modify a division, however if i recall correctly it is free to copy templates. This would mean that it's not necessarily double the cost for two different templates.

Armored cars are afaik not in the game, however tank destroyers and some other sub types are researched as a variant of tanks. In any case, the system is seemingly perfectly laid out for modding a wide variety of equipment types in.

Training and field exercises will still earn you experience points, though it will be very slow compared to real combat, and training costs equipment and probably something more. That said, if you keep training your troops for long enough time and in large numbers, you will still have enough points to build the division of your choice without ever going to war.
