Some Questions

Hey I finally got the game whoohoo! It took me around 30 minutes to get used to the game, but figured my way around after playing HoI and Eu2. I have some questions though that have really been bugging me:

(1861 senario, playing as the CSA)

1. Whigs seem to always dominate the election and have the "Lazza-fare" (sp) economic view, which prevents me from helping out people such as "minimum wage" and such. I cant ban them or set any other party as ruler, so my question is: How do i get rid of the whigs?

2. If i recall correctly the game starts in July 1861, after w. virgina was captured by the union, is there any reason it started in that month and not before?

1: I don't think you can unless you change your POPs views, and that's a bit difficult

2: Because they didn't want to have a event that made WV break off from VA.

I attempted to do so, costly though... i think around 70% supports the whigs)....RRRR!! I want to help my people!!

that's odd, in my game as the CSA, I had 6 different parties popping upp.

THe whig party, the whigs, the democrats, the democrat party, the free soil and some more.

yea i forgot to mention i had the: Whig (conserv.), Democratic (Lib.), Whig (Lib), and i'm pretty sure i had one more but i forgot the name.

The popularity was divided somewhere like 60-70% Conserv. 30-40% lib.

for me, a party got like 70-90 when it first popped up, then it got down to 0 when a new showed up.

But when you get a party that allows bans etc, jump for reforms and soon the whigs will be no more.
