Some questions about Serbia

So, I have started a game with Serbia. My main goal is to conquer as much land in Asia as possible. After playing a bit I got some questions:

1. What ideas should i take? (Got religious already)
2. Should I westernize?
3. Is Austria and Hungary PU a common thing? (Austria got a PU over Hungary in first few years, naturally I got alliance immediately.)
4. With help of Poland and Austria I won first war against Ottos, got some land, but they still got a nice stack of 36k units I can afford only 17k...Allies dont really want to help, can I somehow handle on my own or should I wait till they help me?

1: Maybe offensive or defensive, diplomacy if you are planning to get a lot of vassals, it all depends on what you want to do in your game.
2: Im not sure.
3: It happens, though I haven't seen it in a long time.
4: Yeah I don't think you're ready to handle them yet, better wait for them to get weaker (if they're in a war vs mamluks or something like that) or for your allies to want to join.
