Well the paratroops issue (priced too high) was bugging me so I dug around and found the files for unit stats and looking at the fighter stats I wonder why escorts move faster then interceptors.
Traditionally I would assume that the smaller more agile fighters would be faster, especially since they arent carrying fuel tanks and such. As it stands short range interceptors arent very good at intercepting. My interceptors (basic and improved) have trouble catching bombers unles they fly right through thier base.
The interceptors have a higher attack value.... but are more often then not getting intercepted by enemy multi role /escorts (this has happened to me on many occassions).
Too me its seems more reasonible to have higher attack values and speed for interceptors and higher defence values and ranges for escorts. That way escorts are better at... well escorting. Also escorts should have some tact attack value.... maybe less then multi role.
