So, I wanted to do something a bit different this game, and I have decided to work towards implementing elective law as an Iqta realm. But I have some questions before I make the jump, as I don't want it to be for nothing. I have some odd roleplaying ideas in mind for this run.
1) When I pass the Fully Empowered Council law, will my succession immediately switch from open to elective? Or do I need to also switch succession laws like a non-Muslim?
2) Does an elective Iqta realm still generate decadence in all the same ways as regular Iqta? I'm guessing yes, but I thought I would ask.
3) If I switch out of Fully Empowered Council later, can I retain elective succession as a Muslim?
4) If I have elective succession as Iqta, and I manage to pass all laws for women allowing them every possible right, will I be able to switch to a version of elective law that let's my female family members at least try to win election?
5) Can I switch the Caliphate itself to elective via Fully Empowered Council if I somehow manage to snag it? (I won't be starting as a dynasty that owns it, and I'll probably be Sunni, so you know how that goes.)
