Just a few suggestions that would fit nicely into the game mechanics.
1. Óenach Tailtenn - The fair of Tailtiú. You could make this the perogative of an Irish High-King. Basically the same as the regular Summer fair, though being a royal perogative would add greatly to a kings prestige. Can only be completed in August, however. Was performed by many aspiring High-Kings in the 11th and 12th century to confirm their position.
2. Feis Temrach - The Feast of Tara. Effectively an an assembly of all the magnates of Ireland, supposedly to confirm the laws and histories of Ireland, but effectively involved a week of heavy drinking. Though prohibition was placed on violence and theft and carrying weapons during this period. Carried out seemingly at halloween. Wasn't necessarily carried out by later Irish Kings, but would certainly have been conscious of them as perogatives of kingship, and similar assemblies were held:
Feis Teamhrach gach treas bliadhna
Do chomhall reachta is riaghla,
Do-níthí an tan soin go teann
Ag ríoghaibh ána Éireann.
Do rinne Cathaoir cleamhnach
Feis ró-chaomh na rígh-Theamhrach;
Tángadar leis, feirrde dhe,
Fir Éireann go haon bhaile.
Trí lá ré Samhain do ghrés,
Trí lá 'n-a diaidh fá deighbhés;
Don tsluagh ro ba díomhór doigh
Ag síoról ris an seachtmhoin.
Gan ghoid is gan ghoin duine
Aca an oiread soin uile;
Gan imirt airm gan áladh
Gan acradha d'iomrádhadh.
Cibé do-níodh ní dhíobh sin
Fá bíodhbha troch go dtromnimh:
Ní gabhtha ór arann uaidh
Acht a anam ré haonuair.
The Feis of Tara every third year,
For the fulfilment of laws and rules,
Was convened at that time mightily
By the noble kings of Erin.
Cathaoir of many alliances assembled
The beauteous Feis of Royal Tara;
There came to him, it was a pleasure,
The men of Ireland to one place.
Three days before Samhain, according to custom,
Three days thereafter, good the practice,
Did that high-spirited company
Pass in constant feasting, a week.
Robbery, personal wounding,
Were forbidden them all that time;
Assault at arms, cutting,
Proceedings by litigation:
Whoever did any of these thing
Was a wicked culprit of much venom
Redeeming gold would not be accepted from him,
But his life was at once forfeit.
