I am new here and playing CK2 for the first time.

I wish to learn event making. Are there some step-by-step video tutorials for it ? (too thickheaded for verbal-only guidance ><)

Thank you very much!

Oh dear, welcome to CK2 <3
If I may suggest you, it's better to learn about it via playthroughs and gamers, since you learn things "in context". All paradox games are founded on mechanisms which can't be explained en passant.
If you wish, also, I may consider making some play with you, via discord or similar, however you desire

There is an in-game tutorial, which isn't bad for showing the basic mechanics. I'd start there. There are a few tutorials on Youtube (and probably other places) but it all depends on how old they are and which expansions you have, because things have changed a bit over the years that CK2 has been around.

After that, jump into the game and just... play around. Make frequent saves, take chances and if they don't work out, go back to your last save and try something different to see if that makes a difference. Be prepared to do this a lot - or, just accept the mistakes and go on.

Don't try ironman until you feel like you've got more of a grasp on things. CK2 is a complex game, it's going to take a long time to get good at it. And don't compare yourself to the experienced players here on the forums here and feel bad that you can't do what they can. Most of them have thousands of play hours invested in the game. (I have about 1000 hours, although some of that is from leaving the game paused while I do other stuff, and I still consider myself only semi-experienced.)

I assume that "event making" means creating your own modded events.

It's probably best if you learn how to play the game first, because this will show you what's possible in the game engine (and maybe give you some ideas). Also, greater familiarity with the tone of the game will help you to tailor your events to fit well with everything else.

At that point, it might be worth checking out existing mods (eg. via steam workshop) and asking specific questions on the mod forum. I also find it instructive to read the existing code and try to figure out how it works and why the devs wrote it that way.

Finally, I suggest you start small - identify something that will take a few hour's work, do that first, and build up from there; don't make your first project a grand total conversion requiring hundreds/thousands of hours of effort. Accept that your first few projects will seem embarrassingly bad in retrospect, and use them as learning experiences.
