If three of us friends are playing a MP game, but we do not have time to finish it in one sitting or we just dont want to complete it in one sitting, instead if we want to play continously ,can we do so?

Can we just save the progress of the multiplayers match and then resume it later together?
How exactly does the multiplayer work?

Please answer.:)

I don't know about the various multiplayer types, but you can most definitely save a co-op two-player game. When you want to resume you just load that save when hosting the game. I don't know how it works if one or more players are not present to resume.

Yeah, can one of the devs(or anyone knowing it already) please shed some light on this thing?

You don't need a dev for this ...
Is it to hard to just try? :D
Start a multiplayer, save it, go back to menu and load it. Takes 1 minute, definately faster than waiting for a dev to answer...

But for your interest: Saving and resuming a multiplayer game is possible. Important note: every participant has to have the same savegame present on their machine. Because of their size, the savegames are not automatically synced between the players.
If for example one player leaves the match, and the other one saves the game after he left, the leaving player won't be able to continue this game. Only option would be that the savegame is sent to the users (via email or one-click-hoster etc.). But then there are different problems with the displaying the companys vehicles. So this would be only the last resort.

Try to play with all participants always, and only continue savegames, which all participants have on their PC. Then saving and resuming a multiplayer game is no problem.
