1.The french BB. I think there should be some event decreasing their badboy value, propably after the unification. Reasons why:
-After the frech had united, they were commonly acknowledged as an united nation and they were "forgiven" by England, Austria and Spain.
-The french have 0bb in 1521 scenario, but in EEP GC in 1521 they have normally 20+ bb.
-Due to the high value of BB they can never fight Austria and Spain diplomatically in Italy like they historically did.
-It also prevents any other diplomatic interventions that were typical to the French during 17th and 18th century.

2.Novgorod and Finland. Novgorodians should have shields over Savolaks and maybe Nyland, because historically the Novgorodians fought against the Swedish for Finland, although this happened in the 14th century (100 - 50 years before the beginning of the game) it should still show as some demands over Finland.

3.Albania and Kosovo. There should be an event converting Kosovo to albanian culture and to the albanian state religion.

Sorry if some of these have been posted earier.

Oh by the way: One bug (in 1.4 not sure if in 1.4.1)
Relations: Novgorod - Livonian order = 0
Relations: Livonian order - Novgorod = -75
This causes annulment of the relations.

Also I have a technical issue with the EEP, when I quit playing it and come back to the desktop the sounds stop working. This never happens with the normal EUII.

I expect some changes for France in the merged mod, which I also expect will address your concerns. ;)

As to EEP 1.4, thanks for bringing this to our attention. We are quite aware that version 1.4 was not nearly as bug free as we would have liked. I highly recommend you download and play our latest version EEP 1.4.1, it's our current supported version.

I'll leave it to others to address your remaining concerns.

I would like to update to 1.4.1 and hgave downloaded it but............ I already have a game going on with 1.4 and want to first finish it .... sigh.

Anyhow: About France I would say that the end of the HYW could give it -3bb and the inheritance events could each one give it -1bb. What do you think?

I think the French BB is fine as it is.

Yes, France's claims to their 1490something borders were widely recognized as legitimate, but BB doesn't just reflect how popular a country is. After France's unification, it was one of the largest, wealthiest, and most populous countries in Europe. Its neighbors had every reason to fear this relatively new entity, especially once the French started making claims to Italy.

Following France's defeat at the hands of the Hapsburgs, it calmed down a little bit, largely due to the troubles of the Wars of Religion. In this period, France has plenty of time to allow its BB to shrink. Long before the Thirty-Years War, they should have a fine reputation (or one as good as any of their neighbors), and once again be ready to meddle in the affairs of others.

Besides, France has a very easy time playing the diplomatic game anyway. They are typically pushed towards aristocracy, and they have one of the richest monarch files in the game. Plus, France has so much money at its disposal that gift money is easy to find.

I agree with IFurita. It depends on how you play it. I'm currently playing France right now and I got out of the 1500's with an honorable reputation no sweat. You got the vassalships for Orleans, Auvergne, Bourbonnais, and Provence. Just maintain them with your generous treasury. Annex them a few years apart as you might get a couple badboy points each time, but they go away in a few years. I believe Provence has its own inheritance event. And Brittany is almost always given to you as a vassal in the 1480s. So be patient, relax, and devour your neighbors with a smile! :) The French way.

If you want to go the military route, then yes, of course you'll suffer a lot more badboy.

I am not asking this for the sake of the human player but for the sake of the AI. I and propable everybody else can keep their BB down as they are mainly demanding cores from their neighbours (0bb) and diploannexing their vasals (1bb per province) and then colonising and having fun (0bb). But the AI is annexing luxemburg (6bb) DoWing their neighbours constantly (2bb) and doing other stupid things. And this causes their BB to rise. Also sometimes they Force-Annex their vassals bourbonnais and the rest. (they get out of the French alliance and get annexed)

Not likely to happen, as Albanians gained majority in Kosovo only in the second part of the 20th century.

A thing I'd like to say- playing your 1520 scenarion as England. England has no knowledge of America whereas I'm certain 1520 is quite some time after Cabot discovered Canada
