I have played almost 900 hours of this game. Here are some changes which I think are important :
- the age of generals, admirals, explorers and conquistadors should be shown in the military screen so we can have a clue about how much time they will last ;
- it seems to me that influence group of ideas was better before, with the aggressive expansion impact modifier that is now attributed to the espionnage state propaganda idea. I think it should be back to influence group ;
- why does experience disappear over time even when an army doesn't fight or lose troops, as if the soldiers could "forget" their training ? In france we say that you can't forget bicycle. Why should it be different for military and warfare ?
- you DEFINITELY need to do something about bad rulers and bad heirs who won't die. I suggest to raise the odds of dying when the ruler or heir besieges a place with less troops than required to make the siege effective. This would be realistic or credible since the leader whose escort is insufficient is more easy to capture or kill ;
- ruler and heir should stay as free general, even after they abdicate or get disinherited.
the following are purely aesthetical and are meant to make the game more immersive :
- when you besiege a province there is a little firing canon, showing the province is attacked. This canon should be a catapult or trebuchet before the canon is invented and made common. Eventually the canon model should also improve as new artillery is invented and perfected ;
- the look of soldiers should change : hair cut or colour, beard, maybe even eyes, so you don't have the feeling to look at clones when you have several of them. The uniform should stay the same though.
