YOUR LOCATION, right now it doesn't really seem to matter. You could be leading an army and impregnate your wife somehow (happened to me quite a bit). Perhaps we could make your location give events? Such as if you are leading troops into battle you could stumble across some village and have X happen or you find some traitorous scout and have X happen. Quite a lot of possibilities for new events. Or you find some nice, young lady far from home to... become friends with.
Another thing.. lately I have become more reluctant to have my leaders lead my own armies due to me not wanting them to receive an untimely death and de-stabilize my Empire. I don't mind this as much if I am a small Kingdom or Duchy though. Anyways, if your capital is captured or your place of residence.. should you not have to escape? Sometimes I see some of the people in my court get executed by peasants when rebels capture their stronghold, can this still happen to rulers?(by rulers I mean you, the player) I feel if you are being attacked... by say the Mongols and you are in your nice castle and it is being captured you should probably escape. Do you really just sit in your castle while it is occupied by the enemy? So if you're captured in battle... 100% warscore. But if you are locked down in your own castle, surrounded by an enemy garrison.. nah, that doesn't matter.
Would be fun to get a series of events that try to detail some elaborate escape out of your stronghold before the enemy comes, or perhaps you could move your capital to another province temporarily. Many countries did this at different times through-out history when they lost their capital. Or perhaps when your stronghold is captured you die fighting them off or you yourself are captured. I do believe the last Byzantine Emperor died fighting the Ottomans who entered his stronghold in Constantinople.
Thoughts?
