I am sorry, if I may have posted in the wrong thread, but I am here to ask for, anything at all of the Coat of Arms or if you could make some "realistic" and cool ones for me? In 1515 RPG I will be playing the Ottomans, I was wondering...could you please help me with some graphics?

I have a good one for the Empire as a whole, but I need a few for like: Bulgaria, Rumelia, Hellas, Anatolia, Konya, Syria, Serbia, Karaman, Sivas, Lebanon, Egypt, Alexandria, Judea, Cyrencia, Ishtanbul, Thrace, Macedonia, Budapest, Burcharest, Belgrade, Crete, Cyprus, Kurdistan, Iraq, and Armenia.

I know...that is a lot...forgive me...:( I would be most gracious if someone could help me with this...please.

I don't think the Ottoman Empire ever had coats of arms. They had lots of flags though ;)

It wasn't a feudal society in the western sense though, it was definitely an eastern stile empire. I'm sure each tribe had its own Tamga seal, and each bey probably had his own banner with a special koranic calligraphy upon it, called a Tughra. (the Ottoman one is quite nifty :))

Here's the Ottoman Dynasty tugra :

Oh yes the tugras. Yes I know.:) They are very pretty, and that is what the only things that really symbolized the Ottoman Empire I think...is there anyway, someone could create somewhat fantasy, yet realistic ones for the Beys?

BTW, I didn't see your site before Biger, it is very nice, you don't mind in my RPG, if I use some of your good work do you?

i can make these if you want:

tr~o-cig.gif

this is the flag of the greek "nation" under the ottomans

gr~smyrn.gif

this is a variant that was used in smyrna

ba-1760.gif

this flag represents bosnia under the ottomans

i've recently learned which family's arms represented serbia under the ottomans, and you can use the saint titus set i made for crete if you want to make it distinct. macedonia is a hard nut to crack because the only two powers to have held it in its entire were the byzantine and ottoman empires, neither of which used heraldry as we think of it - that coat of arms then more than likely dates from another power that used them to symbolize what part of the region it held (say hungary just for the sake of argument; venice used a red lion on gold to symbolize albania on her grand arms, even though the only parts of albania she held were a few coastal ports)

so far i've made ottoman greece, ottoman bosnia (both on this page), and serbia under the mrnjavcevic family here; the mrnjavcevics were the first to confront the turks, and their arms were used to symbolize serbia under ottoman rule.
