It would be cool if someone from paradox can shortly answer me a couple of modding questions?

- Are the ship profiles nation specific in the final game? (If not, is this moddable?)
- Are the ship profiles different in the specific levels (I-IV) in the final game? (If not, is this moddable?)

- Has the carrier variant of airplanes a different Profile in the final game? (If not, is this moddable?)
- Are the ship/plane/tank profiles for new sub-variants different in the final game? (If not, is this moddable?)
- Is it possible to make/mod some kind of "profile templates" where we can choose out like you made for the unit icons I saw in the last video? This would be a very very cool and usefull help!!!

- Are the unit-files nation specific (f.e. interceptor.txt) to give every nation a slightly different stat?
F.e. if a Ju-87 Stuka is the counterpart of a Typhoon, they're soooooo different (It's tooo abstracted for me)

Can't wait to Play mod this game.....:p

As for their modability, sure, i dont see why that wouldnt be possible.

I dont think that carrier based aircraft has different profiles. They probably have an little icon indicating that they are carrier based.

The sub-variants of vehilces, i guess you mean TD, SP-AA, SPG etc, have different profiles, yes. We saw some screenshots with the Marder II for example. Ships and planes dont have such sub-variants however, atleast as far as i know.

For the last questions, at their core the vehicle in the same spot would be the same for every nation stat wise initialy. With the country specific companys (for the majors atleast) you slighty alter the stats however. An Porsche Tiger wont be the same as an Henschel tiger stat wise for example. The Henschel is more mobile, while the Porsche Tiger would be slower but better protected. The MAN version would have better soft attack.

all base land, sea, and air units are the same stat-wise. it's the variants system like what LordOfWar16 said the provides unique stats beyond tech research.
CAGs are their own planes.
if by profile templates you mean unique units, yes.
if by profile templates you mean 3D models, probably.

almost everything is moddable
just about anything involving 3D models is now moddable via the Jorordox tool.

If it's moddable, I'm fine.

I don't like to see a Picture of a P-51 Mustang and have a naval Version which is the F4U Corsair f.e

For the variants it would be good to have a template with new Pictures I can mod in, so when I have a Bf-109E (Profile Picture) and I create a new variant, the Bf-109F, I want to have a new Profile which Shows the Profile Picture of a Bf-109F and so on

I'm also interested in this - particularly the ships questions. If it was possible to get the size of the images (x by y pixels) used for the various layers in the ship database (or the planes, or tanks or artillery), it'd help us crazy folk come up with some pictures for the tech-tree pre-launch, keep us out of trouble ;).

As for their modability, sure, i dont see why that wouldnt be possible.

It depends on how the unit files link up with the database - if each separate model/variant for each nation has it's own field that tells the game engine where to find a picture, including the carrier variants, then there are pictures for all, but it could be possible that the reference to the icon is at the tech level rather than model/variant level, in which case it won't be possible. I can live with it if it's not (at the end of the day, my main interest is in gameplay substance, although I am a fan of the flavour as well), but it'd be pretty cool if it was :).
