well you could always put yourself in a deep freezer and set a timer to get you up on the 28. it is what i was planing on doing until my wife caught me dumping stuff out of our freezer. and after i bought her a 50 cal. black powder rifle for our anniversary...

What you can do in such a case is take thy self off to the mountains and bury yourself in the ice and snow. Just make sure you have a reliable friend to wake you up and thaw you out on the appropriate day. Otherwise, you may end up living with a bunch of anthropomorphic otters.

PS, and an attempt to be on topic to the actual thread OP.
Nicely done. A good piece of info available for a quick visual scan of the units. Thanks for not making it something we had to click on something to find status for each, individual brigade, or some such. Got enough of that in the game already.

That one does sound better.

not really. Actually making the game too full of colors and indicators is a bad idea. Then it will kinda defeat the sense of quickly seeing stuff. I love the way it is now and it really needs no further improvements, since, as already said, out of supply trumps combat delay, as you cant move it anyways.

Heh. I didn't even know there were such indicators already on the units. I'm not exactly a close inspector of details when I play. I guess that's been pretty obvious for a while now.

How about putting the attack delay indicator in the opposite corner (i.e. lower left corner) so that you can see both indicators at the same time?

look lovely but i noticed you have not kept the lovely bright colours on the counter to mark higher command levels.... tht is soooooooooooo useful when scouring a big list for attachments etc or finding them in a clustered front with several armygroups

we never actually had that. thats a mod

And that leaves just one other spare, visible corner - is there room enough to have a double-strip of colour representing both strength [STR] and organization [ORG] that also acts helps as a quick reference for the player on his/her units??

Very nice and handy!

I also support having the two colours striped together if both circumstances affect the unit.
So I could see that unit could maybe even don't move right after it gets supply soon, because of attack delay and vice versa.

And striping wouldn't add a new colour.

Additional Org/strength indicator (90-100=blue, 75-90=green etc. or number/alphabetical indicator) would be also very handy..

:)

One question remains. What colours will be used by the countries using red counter colours?

still red, but its a much brighter red and it has a black separating line so its still visible

What's that little arrow pointing down over the river, just above that tank division?

sorry its not something terribly exciting, its a bug in visual assist which is a helpful plugin in visual studio (our development environment) and it sometimes have that appear over the game when debugging :p didn't notice it myself

While you are on the counters. Could you make the Strenght numbers change in a two digit value, so that it could raise higher as 9?
It is only for longer games(and Mods cough, cough..)where the Divisions ends up with nearly all 9-9 all the time..

Or maybe combine them with colours from my suggestion above to indicate also the actual strenght. :D

Or or... It is sometimes hard to stop making suggestions.. :rofl:

Question (dont think it's been answered before):

- So the units go red in the corner when out of supply/fuel, but do they also do this if only a certain amount of their needs is being met? Ie. some sort of threshold (eg. 50%) needed before they go red, or do they just go red the moment all their needs are not being met, or do they require no supplies/fuel at all to go red?
