Some focuses are just too bad to pick

As I've been trying out quite a few countries with the new mechanics etc I must say that WTT has been enjoyable, more so than any other expansion/dlc so far.

But my trouble today(and have been since release really) is that some focuses yield too little benefit for what the investment is, ie you can only have one running at a time and there are a number of good contenders for each time. Some don't really make sense either, like you get 2 synthetic refenieries as Italy via focus, but you don't know how to build them.

Take for example the focus for naval bombers for various countries. You get 1x 50% research bonus for 70 days spent which translates to something like 100 days of saved research time. Since I would have 4 or 5 research slots at this point it makes it easier to just take another focus and take the hit in research time.

Some benefit what you really want, ie industry, extra research slot so those will always be more wanted in the eyes of the player.

I would rather see that focuses are balanced with the thought that each should be useful and that you really have to make some tough choices and not just the "best" way. Some parts of a tree are largely forgotten and never used which is a shame.

Japan has an entire branch to make improvements on a puppet who might turn on them. It's all good if ya conquer them and gain the improved territory, but personally, pre cornflakes, I never call them to war or ask to use their units and the AI never declared on them. Another example is x amount of forts, land or sea.
