After watching videos and streams so far I am a little disappointed with what has been announced. As far as I've seen there aren't many new roads announced. Just highways, I was hoping to see more variety of roads of previous releases. The main talking point for me are the roads with tram tracks and bikeways, particularly trams. The use of trams is really down to 2 usable roads in all honesty. After seeing the roads with monorails so far, you can add them to the same list.

There are no roads that have tram tracks, bikeways and now monorails that have grass or trees, this is very disappointing. I haven't seen but had hoped that there would be more variety in the choices of bridges as well. At present if you build a 4 lane bridge it has arches, a 6 lane or 3 lane highway it has a suspension bridge - every single time. Being able to choose a different style of bridges would give any city some individuality.

I am aware that these road variations don't really have any impact on public transport but you did go a part the way by adding extra highways which are also needed and very welcomed.

Very few new roads, stop signs but no other sign, some hubs but no multi plateform metro station...
There are so many good things that could be done, but have only been half-done.

How did you notice bridges worked this way ?

Agree completely, no multi platform metro is a big letdown. Traffic report tool is probably the only mod that becomes redundant. Will still need NExt2, TMPE and IPT. The extra roads for buses that IPT offer are not included in Mass Transit, in particular the 6 lane with trees. If anyone knows who did IPT, would be great if he/she would expand his road selection greatly for bikes and trams, pretty please!!!!

Hopefully, a new dlc titled "Roads Expansion" with metro multi platforms can be considered in future. One can only hope.

Have to agree, to name the new dlc "Mass Transport" is a joke. Blimps and cable cars could never be seriously considered as methods of mass transport. I would've expected to see the air travel and metro system options being expanded/beefed up. Knowing the folks at Colossal Order it's more likely we'll get a unicorn shuttle service

I'v got to disagree with cable cars not being considered mass transit, while they by no means are used everywhere and their main purpose probably is still for tourists and or skiers. An increasing number of cities are looking at or have built cable car lines, iv put some links to some of them below:
Columbia (Medellín):

I'm aware that cable cars are used in a number of urban locations but you miss my point. Cable cars may well be integrated in city wide transit but by design they can only ever be a secondary method of transportation as they are unable to cope with high volumes of traffic - compared to metro/rail/bus services which are methods of "mass" transit

Yeah disappointing literally, instead of fixing the metro to elevated (at least we have modders) they added useless blimps and half-done cable cars the axis does not even bend the cars which looks definitely awful.
Sad to say although I will support them cause the game is the best of its kind :]

Lets work if out (feel free to correct here, esspicily for buses there may be some mistake is my main interest is in cable cars).
Buses:
These Alexander Dennis Enviro400 double deakers look pretty reasonable so lets use those as an example:
Enviro400-VE-VirtualElectricRte69-P1370155.JPG

The Wikipedia page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexander_Dennis_Enviro400) lists the maximum capacity of 90 people. The most frequent bus route I can find is the 38 route in London which runs every 3 minuets on the core section during peak time (http://www.londonbusroutes.net/times/038N038.htm).
60/3=20 buses each hour
20*90=1,800
So the highest capacity bus route can transport 1,800 people per hour.
Cable car:
Again looking at London, the Cable Car is listed as having a capacity of 2,500 people per hour (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emirates_Air_Line_(cable_car)) well above the highest capacity bus route I can come up with.
Metro:
The Victoria line runs at 34 trains per hour during the peak (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Victoria_line#Service_and_rolling_stock) and the trains have a capacity of 876 people (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/London_Underground_2009_Stock)
34*876=29,784 people per hour.

Its clear Metro services blow both Cable Cars and Buses out of the water in terms of capacity, and are clearly mass transit but Buses and Cable Cars are both less clear cut, I think exactly weather or not they are considered mass transit is a matter of opinion but surely you must both or none? Obviously it also goes without saying that many Cable Cars and Buses have a lot lower capacity, a single deaker running every 2 hours could transport say 15 per hour? And equally many Cable Cars have smaller capacity, this one near Barcelona had a capacity of 180 people per hour (https://www.remontees-mecaniques.net/bdd/reportage-tcv15-olesa-esparreguera-poma-2201.html)

To me its more of a novelty DLC, yet another one, blimps and cable cars are because theve literally done it to death and theve ran out of transport options, so now we got novelty ones, yet so many other areas are lacking or non existant havent even been looked at and they overkill the transport because it is more of a transport sim than a city sim. I'm also not sure why they said this DLC is good news for veterans of the game?.

I just dont think this DLC was required at all, traffic options are plentiful enough, should have focused on some of the more lacking areas instead.

Is it better that all areas be done to the fullest extent or them releaseing half done items in lots of areas which give a broad overview?

What would you say if the next one was yet another transport improving DLC... every single DLC has improved transport in someway, when is it time to stop?, I think it was before this one, weve had that many transport options every single dlc, we at blimps now, Out of everything they could have done to improve things yet another desperate transport option of an already extensive list of transport options would be last on the list for me.

One area is at its fullest extent theyve had to go to overkill levels, and the rest looks like launch day. The rest of the DLC has been mostly novelty, cosmetic, I honestly cant believe they havent looked at how the recouces work since day one, looks like its in beta you have to use mods to make it so not so useless, and even then theres not that much point in messing about with industry cos its at bare bones and completely ignorable. What city builder has an industry you just ignore.

I want to buy DLC, but none of it has been anything other than novelty imo.

Hopping in too since I'm disappointed by the stream of half baked DLC. They seem to continuously miss the memo and release stuff that hasn't been fully thought out.
Don't get me wrong, this expansion is much more to my liking than Snowfall or ND. Still the Skylines team seems to rush the DLC out as fast as possible with little actual effort on bringing bigger or more fleshed out features to the table. I really hope that there's something more that gets me hyped again.

Yes and at the same time I'm wondering if this is even possible, maybe the reason could be they can't modify the base game that much by adding too many features at the same time(and I guess it demands lots of coding work), and they can't drastically change the base game system requirements just 2 years after its release (for the traffic IA for example). Each DLC seem to obey some communication rules which have to mach with the relative expanding possibilities of the game meaning doing step-by-step modifications whereas the public would like quicker changes, perhaps we'll just have to be patient and keep using mods...
