I played CS before, got about 80 hours in relatively shortly after launch, but then I started hoarding mods, waiting for new ones, waiting for updates... and it lasted me until now.
By now I've forgotten absolutely everything I knew about the game and I'm starting over. All I know I am subscribed to 30ish pages worth of mods and assets.

Anyway, I have some questions. For now, just three (but I only got to the main menu thus far).
1) How do I remove a keybind? I can't figure it out.
2) Where do I find keybind options for mods? Some of them use keyboard shortcuts.
3) I can't bind thumb mouse buttons to anything. The game doesn't seem to recognize anything besides the basic three. Is this normal?Wait, it works. It didn't last time I played the game though. Good!

With so many views, and no replies, it seems a lot of people do not know the answer to your question. I didn't.

Found this:
http://www.skylineswiki.com/Controls
"The controls of Cities: Skylines can be edited through the options menu."

Can't try it though, my gaming rig is busted.

1) How do I remove a keybind? I can't figure it out.

First, you can't remove keybinds, they are part of the game. You must reassign them. Second, you don't state what keybind you are trying to remove. The keybinding (keymapping) are the options menu.

2) Where do I find keybind options for mods? Some of them use keyboard shortcuts.

Search for your mod in the workshop.

I highly recommend making a workshop list (collection) and start systematically removing everything. Your mods are almost two years old and likely incompatible with the game and giving you issues.

sorry for topic hijacking...
can i use this "feature" to group my mods?
game A uses 5 mods -> create a workshop collection for myself with this mods
game B uses the same 5 mods plus some assets and a few other mods -> create a second collection

if i have played game A and i want to play game B, i only habe to unsubscribe to the collection created for game A and subscribe for the game B collection?
that would be awesome! does this work? can i unsubscribe from a whole collection? within the game? and subscribe within the game to my collection as well?

yes, yes, yes, yes, yes within game, but you'll have to restart csl to take affect, yes.

You cannot be serious. That's the most stupid thing related to the game I have read in a long time.
The game typically throws a bunch of errors at you when a mod is incompatible. There's no "likely".

I am not following. Can you explain what it is specifically you are trying to do. You are not making any sense to me.
I cannot describe it in more plain english.
Inability to remove a keybind. REMOVE. As in, not having any key (combination) assigned to an action.
The game ONLY allows you to change it.
Do you compute?

Not all mods are 100% percent compatible and still a work in progess. i.e. some feature work, but not othjers. Not to mention compatible with other mods.

Don't forget to check your error logs.

So you mean unassign a keystroke, not remove it. You mention keybinds for the game and keybinds for your mods. I figured you had a conflicting keybind (not keystroke) that you wanted eliminated. I'm not psychic and have no idea what you mean, let alone if English is your secondary language. I try not to assume and confuse the issue and ask for clarification instead. I'm sorry if this offends you. I'm not trying to make fun of you or offend you.

You can just make a weird key combo so you don't hit it by mistake.

ps - Sometimes assigning the key stroke of a keybind the same as another keybind may remove the initial keystroke as there can only be 1 combination. i.e. Move left is A, and you assign print screen from F12 to A, it may remove A from move left and leave it unassigned. Worth a try I guess. I've never heard of an unassign button before. How do you unassign in your other games?

Typically in most games it says you can either press a special key that unassigns a keybind, or hold Esc or something like that. It's actually very useful and I'm surprised it's not implemented in CS. Not saying it's absolute standard, but it's the first time I've seen it not implemented in a long time.
