Sold into slavery

I was playing as Norse ruler, wen on legendary journey and when I checked family of one of my opponents, I discovered that one of his daughers is "dead" - sold into slavery (with small icon of chains (?)). Is it new death reason in HIP? How to obtain it (as it seems to work like sending eunuch/concubine to China)?

Certainly not. Maybe IVIephesto is right, as I didn't bother about what's going on the Balkans and further down the south.
