Sea Trade Zones

I'll likely be carving up some sea regions that give the respective lords that control them a boom in income. I figure this will give something for navies to do, keeping their zone protected in times of war, or pirating a rivals zone. Players of Crown of Asger will be familiar with this mechanic. Few players will actually have a sea zone under their control, and their won't be many. Unless your dynasty has direct access to a port of trade, don't expect one.

House Baratheon

au7XfM9.png

House Baratheon of Storm's End is one of the Great Houses of Westeros, and is the principal house in the stormlands, which they rule as Lords Paramount of the Stormlands. Their seat, Storm's End, is an ancient castle raised by the Storm Kings from the now-extinct House Durrandon. The Baratheon sigil is a crowned black stag on a field of gold. Members of the family tend to be tall and powerfully built, with black hair and blue eyes, as well as strong, square jawlines. They are known for their mercurial tempers, and their words are "Ours is the Fury".

House Baratheon is the youngest of the original great houses, tracing its descent from Orys Baratheon, one of Aegon I Targaryen's fiercest generals and bastard brother. Through the female line, the Baratheons are descended from the Storm Kings, as Orys slew Argilac the Arrogant, last of the Storm Kings, and married his daughter Argella Durrandon. Orys adopted the sigil and words of his wife's ancestral line.

ZIjdMk3.png

Sibylla Maar of Lys (30)
Lady Regent of the Stormlands
Lady of Storm's End

((Diplomat))

The wife of the deceased Lord Orys II of the Stormlands, Sibylla was originally a Lyseni noblewoman born to the wealthy Maar family from the Free City of Lys. Like most of the people of Lys, the blood of Old Valyria still runs strong in Sibylla who has pale skin, silver hair, and violet eyes. She met Orys while he was in Lys on the orders of Daeron I Targaryen, and the two married in 158 AC when she was seventeen. Orys brought her back to Storm’s End where she gave birth to their first child, Shiera, in 159 AC.

She adjusted surprisingly quickly to life in Westeros, her natural charm and beauty winning over many potential enemies in her husband’s court. She proved not only to be a loving wife, but a shrewd political maneuverer, helping her husband deal with ambitious vassals and their requests. In 163 AC, following a difficult pregnancy, Sibylla gave birth to a son, Stannis, prompting Orys to throw a grand feast and tourney in Storm’s End. Following her husband’s recent death to fever, Sibylla grieved for only a short time before beginning to fulfil her duties in managing the realm as Lady Regent and educating her son for when he will one day rule.

3kO8COD.jpg

Stannis Baratheon (8)
Lord Paramount of the Stormlands
Lord of Storm's End

Stannis Baratheon is the current Lord Paramount of the Stormlands, and Lord of Storm's End. The only son of Orys II, Stannis inherited the Stormlands shortly before his eighth birthday, following the death of his father in 171. Still being in his minority, Stannis’s mother Sibylla acts as Lady Regent of the Stormlands, managing the realm in his place.

Stannis, like most of house Baratheon, favors his father's side in appearance, having the thick black hair and steely eyes. He is a kind and patient boy, well-liked by the servants at Storm’s End. He has a deep love for the ocean, and is often found climbing the rocks below the castle and examining ships in Shipbreaker Bay, much to Sibylla’s worry. As seems to be the way with the people of House Baratheon, he can be quite stubborn once he has set his mind on something, to the point of angry outbursts. He takes his position as Lord Paramount of the Stormlands quite seriously, dutifully attending his studies and often seeking knowledge beyond what his maester teaches. Lately he has begun practicing his swordsmanship with the squires at Storm’s End. It is Stannis’s greatest dream to be a just ruler and good knight like his father.

Ox7OEwx.jpg

Shiera Baratheon (12)
Lady of Storm's End

The eldest child and only daughter of Orys II and Sibylla of Lys, Shiera Baratheon was born at Storm’s End in 159 AC. Shiera is described by the other ladies of castle as having all of her mother's beauty, and though her hair is thick and dark like a Baratheon she has her mother’s violet eyes. She is beautiful, courteous, and unsurprisingly displays a strong will just as her father had. She greatly enjoys riding and poetry.

yKhOxzA.jpg

Myrcella Baratheon (27)
Lady of Crow's Nest

The younger sister to Lord Orys by nine years, Myrcella was born in 144 AC. Myrcella is a woman with classic Baratheon looks: dark hair, striking blue eyes, fair skin, and a tall, strapping figure. Since her early childhood Myrcella has been willful, ambitious and cunning. She is also politically astute, patient, and extremely courteous when the situation calls for it.

Myrcella did extremely well in her studies, and while perhaps not as genuinely friendly, everyone recognized that she was far smarter than her brother. She got along very well with her father, Lord Arion, who respected her abilities and nurtured them with the best tutors he could find. He instilled in her the importance of protecting House Baratheon above all else from a young age. When she was twelve, it was announced that she was betrothed to Tomas Morrigen, heir of Crow’s Nest, in what would strengthen the ties between House Baratheon and its vassal. She accepted this without complaint and they were wed in 160 AC.

Though she cared for her brother, Myrcella thought he had made a mistake in marrying Sibylla, who she viewed as little more than another Lyseni whore, seeking to steal power from the Stormlands and the Baratheon’s by extension. Her fears didn’t seem to materialize over the next few years and eventually she began to accept her sister-in-law. During that time her husband became lord of Crow’s Nest and Myrcella gave birth to two sons, Endrew in 162 and Luceon in 165. Since her arrival at Crow's Nest Myrcella has strengthened House Morrigen and ensured its loyalty to House Baratheon, essentially running the fiefdom while leaving her compliant husband time to focus on his hunting.

Upon receiving word of her brother’s sudden death to fever, Myrcella’s old fears returned and she wondered if it wasn’t instead poison that had killed Orys. Unwilling to let her nephew, the future of House Baratheon, be left under the power of a Lyseni, Myrcella has set out from Crow’s Nest to return to Storm’s End and let her influence be known in court once again.

Alliances
Alliances in ASOIAF are sealed in a marriage pact, with the bride's household offering a dowry to bless the marriage. Weddings tend to be an extravagant affair among the nobles, with the celebration deeply rooted in Westrosi culture. Time and energy is needed, not only arranging a wedding, but perform the political posturing that goes with it as well. Players seeking to seal an alliance with a marriage must spend an order. The dowry offered by the bride's family is a token of friendship as well as representative of the dynasty's stature.

Unless otherwise stated in canon, no player marriages exist at game start.

Small Council
Those appointed to the King's Small Council will gain an additional council order each turn, that they may use either for their own ends, or to further the aims of the realm as a whole. The King may choose to place members of his own dynasty within his council to increase his number of orders, and maintain greater control over the council.

Hand of the King - Chief advisor to the Lord of the Seven Kingdoms, and the executor of the king's command in the Seven Kingdoms.
Lord Commander of the Kingsguard - Aemon Targaryen - Title held by the most senior member of the Kingsguard, whose chief charge is the defense of the king.
Master of Coin - Head of the treasury and finance of the Kingdoms
Master of Laws - Oversees laws and justice within the Seven Kingdoms, giving direction to the City Watch of King's Landing.
Master of Whisperers - Head spymaster for the king, and head of intelligence.
Master of Ships - Oversees the royal navy.
Grand Maester - Grand Maester Vymen - Chief adviser on matters of lore and wisdom.

Lord Remus Bolton of the Dreadfort, "the Old", 78

Head of the Bolton family for 70 years, unlike some of his ancestors, is quite content with the lot he has in life and does not seek more power. Called "unboltonlike" by many, prefering the status quo, and ably handling all the house's affairs in due order. Nothing much scares him- he has seen much in his life. He knows how to run his house and business well, though lately he has passed on much of the duty to his grandson Reyel. He shows no signs of weakening or ailing yet, currently having 3 generations below him living with him in the Dreadfort. He is disappointed with his son Rolf, proud of his grandson Reyel and great grandson Rowan, and distrusts and despises Rolan his grandson.

Born 93 AC.

images

Rolf Bolton, 52

Much like his father, he is content the way life is for him. However, unlike his father, he is just an average person, without much skill at anything. A widower, he leaves behind two sons. His son Reyel is his pride and joy, while he scorns his second son Rolan. He is disappointed in his daughter but finds his youngest son a blessing.

Born 119 AC

Anne-of-Bohemia.jpg

Rulla Bolton, age 48

Sister of Rolf, a widow, she was married and had seven children. However, unfortunately for her, none of them are alive. Three of them were stillborn, three died of childhood illness, and her one son that survived, a close friend of Reyel, perished in a duel with Reya's husband, where both. She has hated Reya ever since them. She is kept far away from everyone else, for reports of mental insanity.

Born 123 AC

27ee89b47c9ab7b59d273479971bdba4.jpg

Reyel Bolton, age 31

Eldest Son of Rolf, he is a cool, cunning, cautious, calculating man, though a passionate and devoted husband, and a kind man to all who know him, though shy. He does not let his anger slip easily, and he can keep his head cool. Very smart and astute and a tactical planner, and learned two. He knows how to negotiate business, and handles most of the business around the house, and will probably be de facto Lord when his Father takes over. The smartest and most cautious of his house. Loves his brother but distrusts him deeply. A tiny bit paranoid, he is on his guard, especially against his brother.

Born 140 AC

5b1d84de191f62545596bb2fcd0b3587.jpg

Dania Bolton, 30

Wife of Reyel, she is a caring individual and a deeply devoted wife. Coming from a minor house, she was known for her great beauty and love. However she hates Rolan with a burning passion for his behavior, rumors of seducing his sister and indoctrinating her son. She seeks to rid the Boltons of Rolan.

Born 139 AC

e0aa90440705b2add97dc058e9f030da.jpg

Rolan Bolton, Age 27

Younger brother of Reyel, he is charismatic, tough, resilient, and a good fighter, though brash and ambitious. Unlike his father, grandfather, and brother, he has ambitions for greater power and greater glory, which rumors say he is instilling on Reyel's young son, and of seducing his sister Reya. Disliked and distrusted by most of the family, the "black sheep", though several call him the most "Boltonlike" of all, much to the family's dismay. He will prove trouble for the conservative Boltons. He has a group of soldier friends called the "Rolan Guard", whom have been known to flay people alive, a Bolton practice which the conservative group has shunned.

Born 44 AC

6757462309_31a80484d8_b.jpg

Reya Bolton, 25

Sister of Reyel and Rolan, she is a charming young woman. Very beautiful, she has caught many men's eyes, even her brother's. She is the mother of Tola, whose father is debated. Rumors say that she has relations with Rolan her brother, even though she was married- her husband died in a duel with Rulla's husband 4 years prior. From being a calm, respectful girl, she grew to be headstrong, enjoys a luxurious party lifestyle, and if the rumors are true, she has had relations with more than just Rolan.

Born 146 AC

87e475a471b6b6b4d97611539cce849b.jpg

Reynold Bolton, age 24

The youngest of Rolf's children and his third son, he is a charming young man. He admires his brother and is his best friend and close follower. He is quite skilled it being a tactician, and always excelled in all his studies. Like most of his relatives, he is very cautious and conservative. From an early age he has taken a keen interest in history, which he does in much of his free time- he has written several books about the History of House Bolton. Lovingly married to a woman of a minor house named Selene who is currently 6 months pregnant with their first child.

Born 147 AC

liquid_light_by_gabrielrano-d7r7p2b.jpg

Rowan Bolton, age 10

Son of Reyel and Dania, he is very smart and a prodigy, shy, very much like his father, and a good fighter. However, rumors have been spreading that Rolan Bolton is instilling thoughts of ambition and power in him. And there might be truth in this, because to those who known him have noticed that he has been growing colder and more detached since.

Born 161 AC

child-elena-oleniuc.jpg

Rebbecca Bolton, age 6

Second child of Reyell and Dania. She is a calm trusting soul who still has much to learn. She is very much concerned over what is happening to her brother.

Born 65 AC

a547d898e0978b5817d93d3660024d34.jpg

Rachel Bolton, age 3

Born ten months after Reya's husband died, with the rumors and speculations going around of who was the father. The most common assumption is Rolan. Reya clearly states it was her husband, but people are not to sure, making her angry, and the family considers her a legitimate child publicly. However the child though young is growing up strong and bright. Reya gave Tola to Dania because she felt she wouldn't be able to raise the child properly.

Born 168 AC

House Umber
250px-Umbercrest.png

Members of House Umber:
1.) Torrhen Umber, Lord of the Last Hearth (born 120 AC; Tactician)
Biography: Torrhen is what you imagine as the typical member of House Umber; a tall, heavily-muscled behemoth of a man who can easily outnumber a foe in battle just with his towering height alone. However, Torrhen is also impulsive, cruel, and severely unjust when it comes to ruling his land (which he rarely does). Torrhen wasn't even expected to inherit the Last Hearth, but when his two brothers suddenly died of disease just days after his father's passing he inherited a title he never was expected to carry.

2.) Margot Dustin, Lady of the Last Hearth and Regent of the Realm (born 123 AC; Schemer)
Biography: Despite being a woman in a highly misogynist and patriarchal society, Margot is arguably the main ruler of the Last Hearth, with her husband Torrhen largely ignoring his position and training his troops instead of properly administrating the realm. She was effectively able to manipulate her way through the Last Hearth's court and earned the title of Regent by her husband. Despite her major contributions, her main ambitions are still largely ignored by the council.

3.) Rickard Umber, Heir to the Last Hearth (born 146 AC; Steward)
Biography: At an early age, Rickard aimed to emulate his father's power in battle and wanted to be a prominent commander himself. However, at the age of 11 he suffered a debilitating wound which caused him to be paralysed from the waist down for the rest of his life. While this initially disappointed him, his education from his mother has led him to see the weaknesses of his father's rule, leading him to aim to become a better administrator of the realm than his father ever could be. He also shares a lot of the same ambitions that his mother has, which may lead to an interesting future for House Umber...

4.) Brandon "Little Torr" Umber, Marshal of the Last Hearth (born 148 AC; Tactician)
Biography: While Rickard was a personal failure for Torrhen, his second-born son seemed like the prince that was truly promised to him. He has grown up to look extremely similar to his father, and is considered one of the best generals in the North. Despite his real name being Brandon, many peasants and nobles alike know him better as "Little Torr" for obvious reasons.

House Darklyn of Duskendale
Sworn vassals of the Iron Throne

Lord Denys Darklyn

Born 149 AC, 22 Years of Age; Skilled Steward

Bio: Born to the late Lord Jarmen Darklyn, Denys was the eldest of Lord Jarmen's three sons and was groomed for leadership from an early age. Trained by warriors experienced in battle in how to defend himself, and educated by tacticians from across the Narrow Sea, Lord Jarmen did all he could to make a soldier out of his heir but was constantly disappointed. Denys displayed a distinct disinterest in martial affairs, preferring isntead the humbler pursuits of administration and business. Upon his father's death in 166 AC Denys became Lord of Duskendale at 15 years of age. Despite his stormy relationship with his father, Denys loved him all the same and took his death particularly hard. During this time of mourning Denys found a source of comfort in the faith of the Seven and began to devote himself to furthering the interests of the Seven on Earth, and strengthening the position of teh faith in the realm. One of the few lords to praise Baelor's reign as being glorious, Denys is a lord devoted to the High Septon first, and the King second.

Terrence Darklyn
Born 152 AC, 19 Years of Age; Tactician

Bio: The second son of Lord Jarmen Darklyn, Criston was likewise groomed for a role of command like his elder brother, but unlike Denys Criston took to the role naturally. Becoming a fiercesome swordsman in his own right the young Ser Terrence is squired to his good-uncle the lord Herbert Hollard, lord of Hollard Hall and vassal to his brother the Lord of Duskendale. Loyal to his brother, Terrence shares his sibling's faith and has vowed several times to be a truly just knight.

Hugh 'the Hunched' Darklyn
Born 156 AC, 15 Years of Age; Diplomat-in-training

Bio: Youngest son and child of the late Lord Jarmen Darklyn, Hugh is a rather uninspiring boy who is remarked as being lazy by his mentors. Often mocked as 'Hugh the Hunched', the young Darklyn had the misfortune to be born with a hunch-back and is the source of scorn for many of his peers. Despite his harder lot in life than his siblings, Hugh bares the insults stoically and continues to learn at his own pace... When he bothers to.

2. House Corbrey (Arryn) Valyrian steel sword
3. Crakehall (Lannister) Cool pig sigil.

Martells need a vassal, folks. House Dayne, with the greatsword Dawn? House Wyl who defied the Prince of Dorne and sought to keep Aemon Targaryen imprisoned, watching Baelor descend into a pit of vipers to free his kin? Or how about House Fowler, the Kings of Stone and Sky? The powerful house that has warred with the Reach and the Targaryens throughout history?

I'm hesitant to begin the game until the Martell's get a vassal.

House Royce
250px-Royce.png

We Remember
Alren Royce, Lord of Runestone (Diplomat)
Age: 40
Bio: Current Lord of Runestone, Alren is a man who would choose words before the sword one most occasions. After succeeding Alren has chosen to follow in in his footsteps and continue working toward making the Royces are one of the most influential Houses in the Vale and Westeros in general. Intelligent and Charismatic, he has so far in his first 5 years as ruler kept the peace, settling various disputes in the Vale. Currently he working to expanding the influence of his House via diplomacy.
Lenila Royce (Formerly Lenila Tollett), Lady of Runestone (Diplomat)
Age: 37
Bio: A wife who is perhaps just as Charismatic as her husband, Lenila has at times been able to solve matters even Alren cannot. Together they have worked to toward improve the standing of House Royce with the other Houses of Westeros.
Gerrad Royce (Schemer)
Age: 38
Bio: Just as Intelligent as brother but lacking the Charisma, Gerrad finds others "methods" to exert his influence in court. While he has a less outgoing personality than his brother, he has friends in certain places. so far Alren has been to keep his brother in line, but events may change that.
Elayna Royce (Formerly Elayna Coldwater) (Schemer)
Age: 34
Bio: Gerrad's less than entirely faithful wife. Often called "wine filled with bronze poison" because many of her supposed lovers have met with "accidents" that are rumored to have been arranged by Gerrad. If anything is clear about their relationship it is that Elayna would much happier if her husband was Lord, something she's whispered and several occasions.
Rewan Royce, Heir to Runestone (Tactician)
Age: 20
Bio: Proud, hotheaded, and eager Rewan has been somewhat of a worry for his father. While his dedication to his House is without question, he differs from his father in how to achieve this. Often prefering shows of force over other forms of diplomacy, often getting himself and other into trouble with his impulsive outbursts. In spite of this he is at his core a brave and loyal man. He is also a very strong influence on his siblings, especially his sister.
Jaena Royce
Age: 14
Bio: Almost as hothead as her brother, many at court have often joked that it will "take a miracle to find a husband who can handle her." This is not an unfounded statement either, for many in the Vale have learned this the hard way.
Brenn Royce
Age:11
Bio: The youngest of Alren's issue, Brenn look up to both his father and older brother in a near equal measure. This make Alren hope that while Brenn might also be prone to similar outbursts as his brother, he grow up to be as hotheaded and even serve to the voice of reason once Rewan becomes Lord.
Dromin Royce
Age: 5
Bio: The only child and son of Gerrad (though many say he bears very little similarities to his father), young Dromin has seen very little of the world outside of Runestone, which is perhaps just how his father prefers it.

House Allyerion

Coat of arms: Gyronny Gules and Sable, a hand couped Or
Words: No Foe May Pass
Seat: Godsgrace
Current Lord: Lord Inan (Schemer) age 32
Region: Dorne
Heir: Teya (Diplomat) age 15
Overlord: House Martell
Extended Family:
c4095b578f9010c2fa4764fe5a6ad1fa-d5i6cwr.jpg

Lord Inan Alleryion of Godsgrace [schemer]
Bio: Born in 139 Inan would grow up alongside his younger bastard brothers and fight during Dareon's 'conquest' of Dorne. The most notable battle he fought at was the sack of Plankytown, at the mouth of the Greenblood river. Here he suffered a leg injury which has left him lame, barring him from most forms of combat except riding. His father died in the war giving him control of Godsgrace. This is when he started becoming an apt schemer. To reduce the chances of his brothers trying to steal the seat during the chaos of the war and Dorne's presiding revolt. Inan married off his youngest brother in 161, when he was twelve, to an impoverished baron's daughter. This gave him both land, title and a distraction, yet very little power. His other bastard brother simply rode out killed the baron of a small community upstream along the Scourge, and instilled himself. To ensure his more cantankerous brother did not rebel Inan sent numerous assassins meant to fail, and framed a rival politician in Godsgrace for it. This allowed him to earn his brother's gratitude and imprison the rival, removing two threats at once. He would marry a Wyl which would die during childbirth. After which he drowned himself in work and plots, only ever ceasing for his falconry hobby. He would have a pair of twins from a servant girl he drunkenly rapped, feeling guilty he gave the woman and her family a place in court. He wisely gave them lodgings on the opposite side of the castle as the girl still dislikes him greatly for the rape.

200px-Matt_Olson_AMartell.jpg

Teya Alleryion (15) [diplomat]
Bio: Born 156 Teya is the only legitimate child of Lord Inana. Because of this she has had a critical upbringing, always having to be the best. Teya is rather diligent and patient, while slightly introverted she has been shown as being quite eloquent. Inan has recntly named her his designated regent to ensure she gets practice at rulership, and for someone else to listen to endless streams of petitions. While not the best job it does let the people learn to grow used to the thought of Teya as the future Lady of Godsgrace, and as regent she can order almost anything she wants. The only exceptions are military matters which are referred to he father and the marshal.

Nysah Sand (9) [steward] Nazar Sand (9) [tactician]
Bio: Having been born together it makes sense to discuss these twins. Their mother Ileryn was rapped by Lord Inan Alleryion, in guilt he offered to raise them as his own. They aren't legitimate heirs though, had he done that the boy Nazar would have become heir being male, which would have greatly upset the Wyl family who Teya's mother hailed from. The twins though get along well with Teya and are about to start more serious studies. Nazar will go off to be bannerman to marshal Daris, and Nysah to become a proper Dornish lady, in a couple years.

400px-Diego_Gisbert_Llorens_Desert_RaiderII.png

Daris Sand (27)
Bio: born in 144 Dairs is the oldest bastard brother of Inan. He is an aggressive unyielding attacker, traits he picked up during the Conquest of Dorne. He had fought with the rest of the Alleryion forces along the Greenblood river. There was a large amount of killing along that river and as such he had taken up drinking, always having a wineskin at hand. He will occasionally start throwing tantrums and check corners with paranoid eyes. His vivid flashbacks to the war aside he has become an astute commander and was thus made marshal of Godsgrace. He had confiscated a barony and taken the previous man's wife as his own.

Delaina viper (24) [steward]
Bio: Delaina was married to the Baron of Scourgeton, a community along the Scourge river and seventy miles from Godsgrace. Her husband though was murdered in cold blood by Daris Sand who used his brute force and gold looted from Scourgeton to coerce her father into allowing a marriage. With that he wiped out the previous house and installed the Viper's as the baron house. Her house's colors are a semi of sable adder heads on an argent field above a nebuly for a chevron of or and gules.

Hagop Viper(16) [tactician]
Bio: Born in 155 as the son of Dairs Sand and Baroness Delaina Viper. They live at a small barony along the Scourge river. He has been trained by his father to be a warrior and wishes to make both his parents proud of him. He has grown up in a broken home as Daris killed the previous husband of Delaina and forcibly wed her. This has not lead to a happy home life, which has left him with frequent boughts of depression.

Payl Viper(13) [schemer]
Bio: born in 158 Payl is the youngest child of Marshal Daris. She is a michevious sprite and enjoys manipulating and pranking people in the name of innocent fun. Her talents at intrigue though may prove useful someday though.

arabk.jpg

Antrias Sand (20) [steward]
Bio: Antrias was born in 151 as the youngest bastard brother to Lord Inan. He is good natured person and was married off at a young age to a minor barony in 163 AC. The actual marriage happened years later as it was just a betrothal. Having lived in the barony of Adul, fifty miles North of Godsgrace, he has grown accustomed to their way of life. He has learned the subtle finesses of administration, working to increase the value of Adul. His father-in-law is certainly pleased with this. He is currently the Seneshal of Godsgrove, which is just a title of prestige at this point. He spends the vast majority of his time crunching numbers, riding horses, or surveying land for him and his neighboring barons.

Isabel (17) [tacitian]
Bio: Born in 154 she is the only child of the Baron of Adul. Her house is known as Obern, and their colors are an argent Horse shoe on a maroon field. She has grown up as an impoverished noble, which had made the chances of being married off difficult. It pleased her father greatly when the brother of Lord Alleyrion was offered to her. Isabel didn't care much as she was young, when he arrived to live with them she grew to care for him over time. They both took up riding as a hobby, but she wanted to learn the martial art of it, while her husband used it for surveying their holding. Still they get along well and have had a daughter recently. She is not baroness yet as her father still lives.

Juliana Obern(2)
Bio: Little Juliana was born in 169 and is the only child of Antrias Sand. She is a sickly infant which worries her family very much.
Geography: Godsgrace is located near the Vaith, the Scourge, and Geenblood rivers. This gives it a strong hold on inner Dornish trading. The area is fertile and remains green in long summers along the rivers, though this becomes far more arid once one travels away from the waters.

House Tyrell

Q6FXn4d.png

0ikmf4P.jpg

Lord Leo Tyrell
Age 14, born in 157, trait: Diplomat

Leo Tyrell was born in 157 to Lyonel Tyrell, Leo is his only son, and only child. His mother is the daughter of Lord Redwyne. Leo never knew his father, shortly after he was born the Dornish Conquest began and Lyonel took off to war, leading the Reach forces and being appointed as regent in Dorne. Lord Lyonel spend the remainder of his life in Dorne, where he took the pleasures as he found them, among the Dornish women as he found them, until they eventually assassinated him and rebelled against the Throne.

Leo himself however was with his mother back in Highgarden, when news reached them of his father’s death it didn’t effect Leo much, he was too young, and too distant from his father to really mourn him. His mother had likewise grown bitter over him, and his constant affairs in Dorne which she felt disgraced her and her family. Lyonel in his will had dictated that Leo would become a ward of Orys Baratheon, a fellow commander during the invasion of Dorne. Rumours back in Highgarden flew around that it was more out of spite for his wife, than love for Orys, thinking it as a final insult on to her after her constant complaints, and that she was unfit to raise his son.

Lady Janna tried to overrule her late husband’s will but to no avail, she did however manage to secure the position of regent for her son, ensuring that she would rule until his fifthteen namesday where he would come of age.

During Leo’s upbringing, his mother taught him, and handpicked his tutors, putting great wealth on knowledge rather than simple brute force like his father before him. He read the great adventures of Aegon the Conquerer and his dragons, Leo loved the tale but as he grew older, his studies changed. He began to learn about history, the history of his house and how they rose in rank following the rebellion, the crimes of Maegor but also the good which it did by forcing the faith to come negotiating. As well as the wise rule of Jaehaerys, who ended the war. His mother installed great curiosity in him, as well as a love for books and reading in general.

At an early age he began to train for fighting, his mother placed Leo under a tutor which she trusted, that being his uncle, the youngest of the Redwyne brothers. This would however only last for some years, near his eight namesday he was sent east towards the Stormlands, to finally be placed under Orys Baratheon.

Lord Baratheon was a warm man, he didn’t get angry and he was kind to Leo when he arrived. He trained with Leo almost daily during the years he spent at Storms End, taking his time to tutor him as a proper knight and lord. Some months after arriving, Leo began to truly take his practice to him, and as he did then Lord Baratheon kept driving him further and further, pushing his limits.

Leo was given his own quarters the day he arrived, it was in the small part of the tower as the two Baratheon children. Leo was given the books he wanted, and he didn’t lack anything compared to Lord Baratheon’s own children, Leo’s name and station as the lord of Highgarden ensured that he was well treated and looked after, not to mention his mother who doted on him and made sure to send him a properly large purse at the beginning of each month, allowing him to pay for most of his stuff, books and so forth he gained during his stay there.

Lord Baratheon was not a great intellect, his strength lied in his martial powers. Leo didn’t care much, he began to see Lord Baratheon as a father figure, respecting the man, if at times making fun of him together with Shiera, only getting caught a few times, but the lord always took it with a smile, perhaps because he liked seeing them get along.

Sibylla on the other hand was beautiful, kind and intelligent, but despite this, and despite how much the lord tried to make Leo feel at home, he never felt the same feelings from lady Sibylla. He always felt a certain distance, a certain unwelcome feeling when he was around her. Only a handful of times did he feel her approval, which was during some poetry reading together with her, her ladies and Shiera during days while Lord Baratheon was busy with affairs.

Over the years, Leo grew closer with the two Baratheon children and thought highly of them, which could be seen when Stannis became gravely ill, and Leo had genuine concern until he got better. While at Storm’s End he also befriended the grandson of Lord Connington, the future lord, who he jousted against and hunted with.

Following the death of Lord Baratheon, Leo travelled back home with his guard the day after the funeral.

Leo is tall and slender, he has brown hair and green eyes, he is also attempting to grow a beard, although fairly unsuccessful at the moment, having shaved after his mother told him her opinion in regards to it. He has long hair with slight curls which is combed backwards. His nose is not large, and his teeth are well kept.

Lady Janna Tyrell, Regent of Highgarden and the Reach
Age 39, born in 132 AC, diplomat

Lady Janne Tyrell married Lyonel Tyrell at an early age, and the two at first made a loving couple, this however changed when Janne became with child. Lyonel began to be unfaithful, laying with other women and eventually travelled to Dorne during the conquest.

Janne gave birth to Leo, who became Lord of Highgarden and the Reach following the death of his father. Janne took over the power as regent until her son came of age, and did all in her power to prevent her son from travelling to Storm’s End. In the end she was however forced by stern counseling, both from her advisers as well as her own family. She kept in close contact with her son, often writing to him and ensuring that he had ample funds for any needs he may have while at Storm’s End.

During her time as regent, she did much to try and encourage peace and prosperity within the realm, to a varying degree of success.

Janna is tall, has red hair and is slender, her age is beginning to show but is still a beautiful woman, she has brown eyes and can have a fiery attitude towards people she sees as a threat.

Gareth Tyrell, heir to Highgarden and the Reach
Age 55, born in 116 AC, tactician

The Great-uncle of Leo Tyrell, Gareth is the oldest living male member of house Tyrell, watching both his brother, and his nephew dying at a young age, and seeing Highgarden in regencies for much of his adult life. Gareth as a knack for military matters and has lived a comfortable and quiet life, he has supported the Tyrells throughout it. He lives in a large manor together with his own family, his son and his grandson, while he is the heir, he has kept himself removed from politics during the latest decade, and it is rumour that if he was to inherit, he would let the inheritance pass on to his son.

Gareth has grey hair by now, as well as a balding spot, he has a trimmed bear and brown eyes, he is a man of no great statue, and has over the years lost his figure and has gained on weight. He is a jolly old fellow who the grandchildren are happy to spend time with, as he often shares his own treats with them.

House Swann
D5IMwre.png

Gawen Swann, Lord of Stonehelm

4d9815537e4f6c05bf970bac117f1ffb.jpg

Gawen was born to Lord Robert Swann in 152 AC, his mother Lady Ellena hailed from House Penrose. Robert was a typical Swann: brave, courteous, and cautious with himself overseeing Stonehelm for a remarkable 50 years. The smallfolk knew him as "The Watcher of the Slayne" for his efforts to rid the river way of banditry as well as his efforts to aid smallfolk in times of need. Lady Ellena herself matched Lord Robert in personality and was a measured woman. 165 AC unfortunately was the end for both of them, they contracted a mystery illness and were both dead before the year's end. However Gawen had been prepared his whole life and was ready to assume his Lordship. Lord Gawen is considered by his vassals to be a mirror image of his father, both in looks and temperament. His reign has been relatively quiet given the peace brought to the realm by Lady Sibylla and her regency. The only issues there maybe is the fact he is unmarried with very little interest in the affairs outside of the Stormlands. ((Diplomat))

Lady Mayra

co4fzyX.jpg

Lady Mayra was born in 157 AC, making her the second child of Lady Ellena and Lord Robert. While perhaps she has not been as groomed for leading as Lord Gawen, she still has an education from Maester Lyonel who has faithfully served the family for years. While Gawen busies himself with the affairs of Stonehelm Mayra can be found enjoying music and literature in her chambers. Despite her interests she is a proud woman, who cannot be intimidated by anything or anyone. Like her brother she is currently unmarried.((Diplomat/Heir))

Lady Elise

Vpf0rHd.jpg

The youngest of the siblings, Lady Elise was born in 158 AC as unfortunately the last of the children the Lady and Lord of Stonehelm had before their untimely demise. Lady Elise of course was not the child who they had their attention towards most of the time leading to her developing perhaps the freest
spirit of all the children. She is also the least reserved, Lady Elise tends to flaunt the caution that her brother and sister both have in favor of quick decisions that benefit Stonehelm. Her main interests lie in exploring Stonehelm and like her other sister, indulging in the arts.

House Hightower

Lord Lyonel of the Hightower, Lord of the Port, Voice of Oldtown, Defender of the Citadel, Beacon of the South
Born 114 AC, 57 Years of Age; Tactician

Head of House Hightower, Lord Lyonel stands as a proud and righteous man, renowned in his youth as a skilled commander and knight. Having reigned for 41 years, since the passing of his father Lord Ormund, Lyonel has proven himself to forthright, just, and an ambitious leader, happy to preserve and expand the illustrious legacy and riches of his House. Married to Lady Samantha Tarly, his two children - Bradwell and Lia - are considered bastards, though they were indeed born from his wife, though before they married, and so they have been fully legitimized.

Ser Bradwell "Flowers" of the Hightower, Heir-Presumptive of the Hightower
Born 132 AC, 39 Years of Age; Diplomat

Sole son and direct heir to the Hightower, Ser Bradwell has taken his stained birth with an upright chin, not succumbing to the dark mark and instead working stronger because of it. Quick-witted and sharing in the just qualities of his Lord Father, Ser Bradwell is poised to be a suitable successor. Through the union of a lady from House Mullendore, Ser Bradwell sired a single child - Jon - though the lady passed during childbirth, ad he has yet to re-marry, nor does he seem apt to do so.

Ser Jon of the Hightower
Born 152 AC, 19 Years of Age; Tactician

As most young do, Ser Jon aspires to prove himself as a knight of great skill. Tutored under his great-uncle Ser Garmund, Ser Jon is often seen as good-hearted, albeit brash and prone to mouthiness. Time will tell if he shapes up when his time comes for the reality of rule comes.

Lady Lia "Flowers" of the Hightower
Born 136 AC, 35 Years of Age; Schemer

Daughter to Lord Lyonel, Lady Lia is known to be quite the talker, and was the bane of Ser Bradwell's youth as a trickster and general troublemaker, though of the ligh-hearted variety. Married to Lord Victor Reyne, Lady Lia still occasionally visits her kin.

Ser Garmund of the Hightower
Born 116 AC, 55 Years of Age; Tactician

Younger brother of Lord Lyonel, Ser Garmund has long been the right-hand man of his brother, acting primarily as an adviser and confidant. Lately, he has taken to his young kinsman Ser Jon, and has agreed to help train him in combat while he still has the strength in him to act as a sparring partner.

Runcel of the Hightower
Born 156 AC, 15 Years of Age; Steward-in-Training

Distant kinsman, Runcel is Lord Lyone's Grandfather's Brother's Great-Grandson. With little close kin, Runcel has been essentially adopted by the inner core of House Hightower, and allowed to study the art of stewardship to assist the House in management. Still, young Runcel feels the distance between himself and the others at court, and longs for the opportunity to prove useful.

Since they are much more important than Farwynds or Corbreys or Crakehalls, I'm open to playing the Daynes if they aren't somebody else's first choice.
