That is true, of Course. My Point was that it is not Always About what someone likes. IF, and that was the idea, there is someone better suited for a particular Job, a Society with high social mobility will have him end up with it. Now, the criteria for "better suited" may be subject to civics, ethics etc. As may be the way demoted Pops handle it. But the General Concept of mobility is, imo, closely linked to existence of social strata. Thus it would be nice to implement it (and link into other mechanics).


The shortening of the demotion time is what you get from investing in harmony.
Yes, but this does not stop this mechanic from being used elsewhere: Maybe the demoted Pop is more likely to accept job loss if it is based on established social reasons instead of "we close the factory". Or not, that is subject to discussion (and more importantly, game balancing).
