Not really. The reason for the question in the first place is that we have seen a lot of people saying at release "oh, wow! What is this game? How come I have not seen anything about it?"
Now, obviously, those are the people we would like to have seen the game a long time ago, so we wonder where you are looking that we missed. So far, we have had a few replies, but I feel that is not the full story. Where do you go to gain knowledge about new games?
But they did see it! And talk about the need for instant gratification. (Sorry to antagonise but couldn't help it.) I'm sure you have titles which are still selling well but were released years ago. My point is that if the game is good then the people who have not heard about yet will hear about it, positively. And they will then get it. If the game is no good then those people will hear "don't bother, I got bored quickly" or whatever. The paradox name is also inflected the same.
I apprieciate your interest and hope you get many replies (although this is buried in another big thread...).
Personally I hear about games through
1) word of mouth from other gamers
2) newsletters from places I've bought games
3) developers sites
4) very occasionally review websites
I also actively search at times, through retailers websites, wikipedia or google search, the latter usually if I've got a name and not much else
