So, what shall I do now?

I'm playing as Granada, on a pretty easy difficulty. I've conquered half of spain (portugal is down to one iberian province (tago) and spain doesen't have a port in spain) I rule a sizable chunk of North Africa, i also control (for some odd reason) Aleppo and Samaria. I own most of the african west-coast, parts of brazil and south america, and three provinces in India. I also have a few scattered TP's on other places.

My vassals are: Spain, Sicily, Sardinia, Algiers, Kingdom of Jerusalem, Marocco, Cataluyna and Mysore.

I'm allied with the Mughals.
What should I do? I really have no clue.

My inflation is already atrocious I'm trying to research infra to get governors, but I just get hit by -stab events that force me to switch to stab.

change the difficulty of your game.
Now that you have a good empire, test yourself and put it in Very Hard (or Hard). Try to remain with that empire and conquer more.
You could save it in another file, so you don't loose and you could retry when you want.

You could try taking out the countries which are most likely to become superpowers and threaten your borders (England, France, Austria? - I've only ever played England so I don't know who might trouble you to the east or south).

Depending on what year you're in you might also start thinking about colonisation.

You're right he probbaly ought to be converting all the Christians before expanding too much. The three good Egyptian provinces are probably worth it anyway though.

I've actually colonized a bit (10 or so cities in South America, 5 iin subsaharan africa, four in India +a few mini-islands (azores, Canary Islands, Bourbon)

The problem is that even at max. narrowmindedness stability costs are atrocious! I also tend to lag behind in tech. (because of the moslem factor)

Oh, my monarch is also 200 years old by now, and has pretty bad admin. skills, so conversion is expensive and rarely successfull... I could try to force-convert a few minor though (oh, Tuscany is a vassal as well, I'll probably use it as astaging ground if I ever choose to attack the papacy)

Get your serfdom up to help with stability and start converting. Either that or release some of the Christians with crappy provinces as vassals. That's what's killing your stability.

I've released as many vassals as I can (hence my large number of vassals) a lot of provinces are non-core for both me and them (and some core provinces are catholic as well)

Get all the gold provinces you can. With all that you have already conquered, your economy should be big enough that you won't suffer inflation due to gold mines.

GRRR... I had this grand plan of making a moslem pope, but it didn't work I controlled all the Papal States's territory and the "force conversion" button was STILL greyed out!

Maybe I'll just have to annex the entire place and then conver the provinces and THEN release it as a vassal?

Yup, Muslim cannot force convert Catholics

That should be enough for you, since he would probably rather be Muslim than Protestant.

Yeah, but it would be cool. I usually play to make those strange things, like conquering Crimea with Sweden or things like that. I actually think I'm going to try as Papal Statest and conquer Italy the next time!
