So the official stance is that Paradox thinks the AI doesn't need fixing?

That thread in question has been restored by badgr. Please consider my doubt withdrawn. Sorry for your inconvenience.

========Original post down below========

Why have they removed the post about it? I can understand if some discussions have gone too heated, they are to be locked, and we can still read why it has been locked.

Outright removing it, does it mean it is an official statement that the problem it pointed at has been rendered null or invalid? So it means the AI does not need any fix at all?

I just don't get it.

Also remember a team member responding so sincerely about all he wanted was fixing the game and none in the team were happy about the current state.

This has been the only statement anyone from the team has made after such a long time of silence. So the post it was made in has been removed. Does it also mean this statement about everyone being sorry has also been rendered null?

Where was it posted? Here on the forums? Reddit? Twitter?

And I don't believe for a moment they're not going to try to fix the AI, what with all the complaints on the forums. :p Most likely somebody posted their opinion and was told to delete it before readers assumed it was an official position and created a sh!tstorm.

Here on the forum. It was quite the "hit" post yesterday because a dev has replied, all sincere, about everyone in the team is not happy and they are all just looking forward to fixing them all.

So, by removing these comments... I am assuming the supervisor of that dev gentleman has not been happy and has decided to wipe it off?

No, deleting that thread wasn't a declaration of official policy except that they wanted that thread deleted. There are lots of possible reasons, the foremost that come to my mind is admission of culpability in a legal setting. Devs can work hard to fix things technically, but working hard to fix things socially with upset customers is fraught with danger.

Which is too bad, because those comments were exactly what's needed to also build trust. They were great. Trust is mutually exclusive with the possibility of lawyers.

Of course I know their underlying reasons. But it just looks this way. Bad image, bad message, bad tricks.

I don't like them removing that post, but to conclude from that that their official stance is that the AI is fine - that is just silly.

Please just link any exemple stating otherwise.

We both know you will not find it (and for cause...), but in 2 months.... it's another matter entierly. Now, that is called damage control, and that is NOT acceptable on an y mean ! Let just them take a taste of streisand effect !

You think it's reasonable to ask me to prove that it's not their official stance? That's idiotic.

It's one thing to be pissed off that the AI is terrible. I'm not happy about it either. But this is just stupid.

QTF. I'm not here to argue with blind people who think they can see.

Either you argue or you do not reply.

Thank you.

And to be more accurate : numerous posts with an awfull lot of arguments just got deleted, because they were representative of the current game state. That is the whole, raw, truth. Even Stellaris team member acknowledge the fact.

Now you come on you white horse telling there's no problem and expect to be trusted ? Yes, I ask you to prove ity ! I can easyli prove there's issue, you state that they acknowlegde it... that should be easy to prove as it is enough to link an official post stating "yes this is an ai bug".

Let's go. You ask to play ? Fine with me. Just take a serious, gamebreaking bug (it's easy enough sadly).

As you can see it's 2437, the AI empire it belongs to is second in power of the entire galaxy (more powerful than AE), difficulty is grand admiral, game version 2.2.3. Can you explain to me why some ship have t1 weapons ? I'd like an official post.... Thank you....

What the eff are you on about? I never said basically any of that. Also you're rambling incoherently. We all know the AI is terrible. You're a senile old man arguing with an empty chair at this point.

While you are correct that the game is in a terrible state and tehre are a lot of issues, example you list is moot. Swarmer missiles I are lvl 4 weapon, their max possible level is 2.

I'm pretty sure t2 propulsor are top notch too, and t3 shield... or even AI.

It's 2437, not 2237...
