It certainly seems that Republican Spain wins more than they used too, but I am not sure that isn't correct. Before, as the Brits, I always sent material but even then, they would lose 3 out of 4 times. Now it seems that if the Brits send aid, the Republicans always win --but maybe that is correct. However, Spain seems much less important in Doomsday that it did in Hearts of Iron II. I have never seen an AI Germany take out a Republican Spain in Doomsday or a Nationalist Spain join the Axis. Both of those events happened often in the previous game.

As I said, there is, IIRC, a bug in the Nationalist Spain AI file. IIRC, Nationalist Spain was set to passive fronts some months into the civil war, while Republican Spain wasn't...

So far I've started 8 GC as Germany (I always use Germany to get used to the game) and Republican Spain has won every time.

so far in doomsday, i've managed to have both sides win by offering free troops in negotiations... playing as Germany, sent Nat. Spain 4 x '36 INF along with an extra 1000 supplies or so --> victory...

Playing my first game in 1.2 Nat Spain wins! Im playing the UK and the normal countrys intervened. It took more then a year though, but thats ok.
