Little background, I am playing a kind of 'contacted too soon' variant of humans, an Alt history where during the cold war we were invaded by a slightly higher tech race using STL ships, and whose defeat and domestication left humans as Egalitarian/xenophobe/militarists with (starting) mining builds+syncretic evolution, (Later to take Citizen service) reading the Syncretics as the enslaved and gentled heirs of the invaders.

It was a great combo, I got all the advantages of slaves and great ones at that, and of being egalitarian, with some compromises even the egalitarians were happy ( I can't resettle)

We went gene modding, and I quickly improved both the Terrans and their diligent slaves. the 50.50 ratio wasn't always ideal but setting the slaves as domestic servants solved most of the issues...

Only, sometime around gene modding the invaders (It may have been about the time I was gene modding the terrans got an event and had to spend a few months modding in flight colony ships back into the main terran lineage), the new improved strain stopped appearing on new colonies. The Terrans adapted for leadership and intellect are having to mine and do manual labour... I can't resettle so, is there any way to actually get slaves where slaves should be in the new worlds?
