The genetic traits and the non-genetic ones, are seperate. So you cannot be "Slow" and "Quick" nor "Quick" and "Genius" at the same time. Just as you cannot be "Dull" and "Shrewd" at the same time. But that means you can be a genetic genius, but really dull, though it can sound a bit weird, I guess

By this logic can you be slow but also shrewd? That sounds even more ridiculous...

I don't know if there are any situations where it can actually happen in-game, but say .. If you used the console for example, you could have both of those two traits at once, yeah.
