Reloading game should fix that.

It should, but it doesn't. When I ran into it with my France test game, the second thing I tried was to reload the game (the first was to wait for the month to tick over). It doesn't seem to go away until the borders change - I had the penalty disappear from three minors that I made Burgundy release when one of them grabbed a second province.

This happens to me too, and I like to do it a lot in games. Now I have to make sure it's saved and close the game completely to do a task as simple as google something for 30 seconds. Please try and fix this Alt+Tab bug.

Out of curiosity, are you running in Fullscreen, or Borderless? Try the latter if you're not, since that alt-tabs fine for me.

Every time I alt tab I crash. Also every time I host a game my friend either freezes or crashes. Currently cannot play multiplayer.

Out of curiosity, are you running in Fullscreen, or Borderless? Try the latter if you're not, since that alt-tabs fine for me.

I was in Fullscreen. I went to Download a piece of software for borderless gaming and unpacked it into my Steam folder. Only then did I check what settings EU4 itself had. I'm now in EU4's own 'Windowed (Fullscreen)' mode which has fixed the crash and noticeably sped up the in-and-out process. I ended up with unneeded and unwanted files in my Steam folder, and cautiously and optimistically deleted what I thought were the suspected files.

tl;dr Windowed(fullscreen) fixes the Alt+Tab crash. And thanks, I mightn't've found it without your help.

Okay, especially for you I decided to examine 41 bug reports from subforum.

1) Failed Reports

- A guy reports as bug unability to name army due to his error
- A guy reports non having Wester units on Westernization, not knowing this is intentional
- A guy reports as bug mechanic existing since pre - AOW
- A guy reports as a bug warleader mechanic, not knowing this is intentional
- A guy reports as a bug vassal relations cap, not knowing this is intentional
- A guy reports as a bug unability to annex OPM not knowing this is intentional in new peace mechanics
- A guy reports as a bug Guns Drums and Steel replacing old songs not knowing this is intentional
- A guy reports as a bug the feature of army templates not knowing how they are supposed to work
- A guy reports as a bug grammatical/cultural aspects of Chinese provinces
- A guy reports as a bug holy wars not knowing how they always worked - posted 2 times
- A guy reports as a bug force limit due to him not understanding how it is counted
- A guy wants Falalan remix aded to Guns Drum and Steel :D
- A gur reports as a bug supply range stuff which existed pre - AOW
- A guy reports as a bug three remote Asian cultures being grammatically incorrect due to plural form @_@

- Minor bug: post battle report sometimes shows generic unit sprties when it shouldn't

-Extreme Minor but Saddening Bug that I hate - Fleet Templates do not work for nations that start with dip tech below 3, as you can add trade ship to a template, but can NEVER remove them. ;-; gimme templates i wana play korea!) yes i checked it in every way, playing across the planet. (quito in south america cant buld 3/4 the ships through template mode) AND NO it doesn't fix after you upgrade the tech in teh same game. I've had ot resort to starting in 1470 with korea, (year they get tech 3's) to be able to use templates. only bug i've found though, tbh.)

Add a 7th significant bug.

Some of us have taken a massive performance hit, over 3x slower than before. People with markedly inferior machines and those with similar machines are not experiencing it, lending credence to the theory that this is not a matter of specifications, but rather the game's interaction with some rigs.

It constitutes as major, since the game will run quite smoothly for about 1-2 years, then start to drag. It doesn't even take 10 years to get worse than playing in the 1800's used to be, and it doesn't stop there. Machines way over recommended spec shouldn't be struggling that much...and many aren't, with weaker rigs. Something's amiss, and it's a serious barrier to playing at all if you're having it.

Add an 8th too: while gone now, people were complaining because they couldn't save their game at all. Certainly valid, though it might be gone in the beta patch.

The list seems to be missing at least:

- distance bugs (not just trade range)
- missing trade goods
- missing manufactories

Also, the vassal income bug (or a separate one, I suppose) applies to other kinds of income as well.

That's just from the bugs I've personally run into. I don't know if this is overall buggier or less buggy than other major patches, but I've managed to hit more of them than usually.

Sorry, I am just really sick of a certain subset of people who believe that if code is bugged, it's worthless.

I get that, but you also got to realize that code being used in a commercial product is not supposed to be buggy to a point where just a couple hours of QA would have been able to indentify the bugs with ease. Nor should bugs that break the application be present in a commercial product.

I played Gelre for 10 hours and after forming the Netherlands I ran into a game breaking bug. How can stuff like that escape QA? The bug applies to all nation formations and to (some) peace deals that involve releasing nations.

I'm really not sure where you work, but do you really push broken software onto your customers? That seems very unpractical.
