I know plenty of suggestions which have been for dates between ToG & 1006 but what would make a good bookmark(s) between CM & ToG?

Treaty of Verdun would be a possibility in regards to Western Europe. There is also the Christianisation of Bulgaria, the time of Egbert in Wessex, the rise of Rurik in Russia, and probably a few more that I can't currently recall.

Personally, I'm hoping for internal mechanics - EUIV is getting them, why not CK2? My main concern however is that the focus of CK2 realistically is the same as EUIV - that is, warfare and diplomacy. The problem is that CK2 is rather limited in how it does both. Who knows, we shall see.

That horse is out of the barn.

You best lock the door then! To lock it simply click on the management tab (4 times, the first three didn't register properly because of the stuttering because we're 50 years in) and then click "lock door" (again, 3 or 4 times because of stuttering).

Honestly if you're having problems only 50 years in, it's probably not the game.

I think you guys are starting to break the metaphor. Reminds me a little of this scene.

With the devs saying they want to implement things like naval battles and cadet lines, I wouldn't be surprised to see a late game dlc being released featuring the HYW, the Wars of the Roses, with new unit types signaling the introduction of gunpowder. Trade could be improved somewhat with addition of banking which will give the devs the perfect cover to make inland republics playable.

OMG we have the same idea about banking! SEE MY POST https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/foru...merchant-republic-ideas.884655/#post-20027157

Would treaty of Verdun differ much from ToG in general plus its only two decades. I was thinking some period where Louis the Pious rules Francia.

It would enable stuff like Fourth Fitna and Babak Khorramdin in the east too.

While they've said that theocracies wonät be in for a long time, perhaps the knightly orders won't be considered theocracies?
As for cadet branches it'll show up in time but it's a bit to technical to centre an DLC around. As for myths and legends, no and in no way, theyve always been up front with that the games represent history, if you want fantasy mod it in.

No, you're ALL wrong it's going to be another DLC like Inca, "What if dinosaurs weren't all extinct and attacked Europe"
Start date is 888.
I got this from my Ouija board.

Please don't give them any ideas.

It'd be nice if there were a new start-date. Like in between Old Gods and 1066.

Maybe also some cultural corrections (Pictish should DEFINITELY not be gone by Old Gods start).
Well saxon certainly wasn't gone by 867 either (or even by 1066), russian shouldn't even exist in 867 (in fact dyre and ruriks invasion is what should start the change from the old cultures to russian), frisian still exists today. And Zunist was as far as I can tell dead before 769, very few of the religion/culture changes from 769 to 867 makes much sense other than as selling points for the cm expansion.

One thing I want? I want them to fix the bug where if you form a faction to overthrow your liege, every time you get someone to join the guy you are trying to overthrow just says "leave that faction now" and he leaves, and you can never get him back.

That nearly derailed the game I was playing where I started as a Georgian duke and was trying to form the Persian Empire as a Christian. I had to reload my save as the guy I wanted to join the faction, join the faction, save, reload, then declare war while still paused. If I had been playing Ironman, I would have been up a certain creek with no boat, let alone a paddle.

Whether Zunist faith was dead at 769 might be debatable but from what I have read, Zunbil stayed as Tang tributaries until Battle of Talas. According to this page, Arabs stopped attacking Zunbils after 738 and that even attack on 850 had to turn back. Only when Saffarids attacked, did Zunbil realm collapse and ToG start seems to model this quite well. (= playable Muslim in Afghanistan, Shahi court has a Hindu guy with claim).

I stand corrected
