I've been King of England for awhile and I would really like to take out Scotland so I can form Brittania...but everytime I attack them France gets involved and I already have a rough time beating Scotland's armies alone.

How do I take them out? I can easily take out Ireland, so all I need to do is get rid of Scotland. Already got Wales I forgot to mention that.

So in general what is the way to take down a kingdom while playing as another kingdom?

Also I would like to add on that I would also like to know what is the best way to take down a kingdom that is larger than me and more powerful?

What do you mean France gets involved? They attack you, or they have a Scottish Alliance? If the former, kill the CB holder. If the latter, kill the alliance glue. That'll fix your problem.

Take Ireland if its up for grabs, then A) you have bigger army, and B) inherit just one duchy from scotland (and that shouldn't be too hard to get a marriage as a king, just marry a girl and murder your way to the top for your next heir) then form the empire, and use offer vassalage + bribes to get scotland the easy way. No need to involve france at all. Should take one-two generations. So about ~60 years which isn't much if you start the marriage for the duchy part now before fighting for ireland. By the time your done there, recovered money/troops, and would be ready to challenge scotland the marriage should be bearing fruit.
