Being able to join internal wars of your direct vassals would be nice (should count as tyrannic unless the council agrees), I appointed a female viceroy of France and the viceroy of Aquitaine immediately pressed a claim for one of his bishops for k_france, and I had to sit there and watch. Or well a less resourceful kaiser would have, me I murdered the king of Aquitaine thus returning his primary title to me and ending the war.
But anecdotes aside I understand that in the GOT mod the ruler has the power to join wars between his subjects? That would have been a much better mechanic than realm peace, because 1 it would have been more useful, 2 it wouldn't magically have ended wars but actually have had you fight a civil war (something that is an interesting thing to do when your threat is high or you're currently out of wars you want to fight externally.*
That said being a sovereign lord is still greatly OP. I honestly think that managing your vassals should be the main job of a sovereign lord rather than something that you do when not blobbing.
