Ye have little faith, Peachrocks, an Asian DLC will come eventually. We just have to wait until after the 3rd new world DLC, the Muisca still need some work.
Ehhhhhhh.... Maybe. In all honesty I'm not truly fussed, Native Americans, Africa, Colonial Nations (Canada and Australia) and Tiny OPMs (anywhere) is what I like. I don't mind Otomo or Korea, but I haven't played either that much
Peachrocks.
I consider boring to play outside Europe because i really like the history of europe. Its much more interesting than what happend in Asia or Africa.
But this is just my opinion. No matter how many flavor you add to Africa, i will find boring to play there.
You name France, Spain and Austria as expample of countries i consider funny... you are wrong. Thats the problem. France and Spain are terribly boring because of the lack of flavour, custom mechanics and internal politics.
Funny games for me are Netherlands, venice, Tuscany or Milan, Austria (Playing a political game), etc etc... Lucky nations are boring most of them because in 1600 the game is over (Thsts what OP is saying).
In my opinion, France, Spain, England, Austria, Moscovy, Poland, Ottomans, etc etc should be the funniest countries to play and they are not.
In the time frame of EUIV (at least in the first hundred years), the real interesting things in the world happend in Europe. I dont see the point on spending work time in native americans when historically they were exterminated other than selling more games in America. I prefer this time to be spent in europe.
Sorry for my english.
Your message is quite clear and interesting to hear your thoughts and perspective. Not perfect English but far above average even for those who speak only English

. That said how can you know the intricacies of what happened in Asia and Africa

. I don't know exact specifics, but a lot of things can be made interesting in varying capacities, especially given a medium in which these intricacies can create enjoyable gameplay.
Mind you, if you consider the 'super powers' boring because, well they are super powers, that's not going to change, I only listed those as examples, I wasn't sure what your actual preferences were but your choices were certainly intriguing. Those super power nations are specifically designed to allow newer players to play without getting stomped. The drawback though is that these nations will crush everyone else in human hands unless the human deliberately holds back, you can't have it any other way because then there's no real point in gathering power and it's absolutely impossible to cover all the 'balance of power' complications in a game like this, this game tries in some ways (e.g. coalitions) and falls short and has some frustrating mechanics in consequence.
Really though native expansions exist because they are grossly underdeveloped compared to the Europeans and still are. I don't think it's got anything to do with sales in America, otherwise there would be massive colony focus and playing as a colony rather than on the natives. In any case they lack many 'stock' features Europeans have even after Westernisation. Also the Native Americans are a huge what if. There's so many fortunate things that went the Europeans way in their conquest, the plague being the biggest one, the natives just happening to be very vulnerable to it. People love what if scenarios which is ultimately what this game is to a lot of people, breaking history and beating 'the odds'.
Still back on topic, what would you (or anyone else in favour) want to add to them to make those nations more interesting?
