Sadly I'm already regretting paying this DLC.
If you don't play one of the few colonizers lucky nations, you lose one of the big feature of the dlc, treasure fleets.

Instead of revamping the system so you could colonize and trade with new world colonies with any country. You're stuck with playing with France, England, Spain, Portugal or Netherland even more than before.

Ye have little faith, Peachrocks, an Asian DLC will come eventually. We just have to wait until after the 3rd new world DLC, the Muisca still need some work.

Ehhhhhhh.... Maybe. In all honesty I'm not truly fussed, Native Americans, Africa, Colonial Nations (Canada and Australia) and Tiny OPMs (anywhere) is what I like. I don't mind Otomo or Korea, but I haven't played either that much

Peachrocks.

I consider boring to play outside Europe because i really like the history of europe. Its much more interesting than what happend in Asia or Africa.
But this is just my opinion. No matter how many flavor you add to Africa, i will find boring to play there.

You name France, Spain and Austria as expample of countries i consider funny... you are wrong. Thats the problem. France and Spain are terribly boring because of the lack of flavour, custom mechanics and internal politics.
Funny games for me are Netherlands, venice, Tuscany or Milan, Austria (Playing a political game), etc etc... Lucky nations are boring most of them because in 1600 the game is over (Thsts what OP is saying).

In my opinion, France, Spain, England, Austria, Moscovy, Poland, Ottomans, etc etc should be the funniest countries to play and they are not.

In the time frame of EUIV (at least in the first hundred years), the real interesting things in the world happend in Europe. I dont see the point on spending work time in native americans when historically they were exterminated other than selling more games in America. I prefer this time to be spent in europe.

Sorry for my english.

Your message is quite clear and interesting to hear your thoughts and perspective. Not perfect English but far above average even for those who speak only English :). That said how can you know the intricacies of what happened in Asia and Africa :). I don't know exact specifics, but a lot of things can be made interesting in varying capacities, especially given a medium in which these intricacies can create enjoyable gameplay.

Mind you, if you consider the 'super powers' boring because, well they are super powers, that's not going to change, I only listed those as examples, I wasn't sure what your actual preferences were but your choices were certainly intriguing. Those super power nations are specifically designed to allow newer players to play without getting stomped. The drawback though is that these nations will crush everyone else in human hands unless the human deliberately holds back, you can't have it any other way because then there's no real point in gathering power and it's absolutely impossible to cover all the 'balance of power' complications in a game like this, this game tries in some ways (e.g. coalitions) and falls short and has some frustrating mechanics in consequence.

Really though native expansions exist because they are grossly underdeveloped compared to the Europeans and still are. I don't think it's got anything to do with sales in America, otherwise there would be massive colony focus and playing as a colony rather than on the natives. In any case they lack many 'stock' features Europeans have even after Westernisation. Also the Native Americans are a huge what if. There's so many fortunate things that went the Europeans way in their conquest, the plague being the biggest one, the natives just happening to be very vulnerable to it. People love what if scenarios which is ultimately what this game is to a lot of people, breaking history and beating 'the odds'.

Still back on topic, what would you (or anyone else in favour) want to add to them to make those nations more interesting?

Why not just don't play in Europe? It's basically easy mode as it is anyway.

Internal mechanics should be more interesting. Civil war will now be rebels. Why not a new faction? Say France is split between the Catholic League and the Huguenots as two actual factions which when they win, completely change the political outview towards the rest of Europe? And it could also hold a 'renversement' of alliances, rather than the ally Spain it would now be allied with say protestant Sweden. Again, given that EU will never have truly an in-depth system like CK II this would still be a rather simplistic and only partly historical approach.

You can send the Mexican gold to Asia, too. Also getting a port at the English channel as any European isn't too hard.
The bigger problem is an independent Mexico. Due to its huge size it usually breaks free very early, essentially disabling the treasure fleet mechanic and privateering it.
The treaty of tortillas (sorry, too lazy) mechanic also does more bad than good. It usually results in 3-4 giant cns which are too large to control for the ai.

I don't get why people say this every single time the inevitable post-DLC speculation begins. Of course there are going to be patches and hotfixes first. There are always are; it's implied.
Really?! You don't get why some people might long for a patch that just fixes things, after paying for one that implements a slew of buggy "features", unnecessary changes, and stealth nerfs?

The superpowers had lots of problems or rebels and internal crisis. The game should represent this in the game. A superpower should be able to collapse. A real collapse, not a rebel spawn that you can negociate it or just lose a few provinces. I only see superpower handled by IA collapsing. A player will never do.

Coallitions should be changed. The more you expand and bigger you become, more agresive should the be IA againts you.

At this moment, rebelds and coalitions are only dangerous if you are small. If you are a superpower then you can instant wipe rebelds with few losses and you can fight coallitions easily.

The bigger you are, safer is you country, and it should be exactly the opposite.

+1.

I would like more focus in Europa. i see pretty boring to play outside europe.

Outside Europe is boring because they have already spent much more development resources on Europe, and set it up so that it isn't predisposed to waiting.

The answer is not to focus more on Europe, it's to make every area of the game interesting.

Can we...can we maybe do a round of bug fixing, minor improvements and actually getting all advertised (DLC) features to work first?

+1. FFS we have bugs impacting recently changed mechanics that have persisted for 4 major patches.

Lots of interesting points, but maybe let me just clarify - I didn't mean this to be about Europe vs ROTW or about bugfixes versus new features or whether the balance between this country and that one is historically accurate. All interesting questions, but we've been there.

My question is really specifically about whether the Devs are planning to come back to the big Euro powers of the age.

A lot of people respond to that by saying a version of "France is so easy and boring, why don't you play an OPM or ROTW"? But what if I want to play France?

I think it's clear from previous statements that a dynasty system or anything too CK2 isn't going to happen, which is fine.

But surely there are lots of other things around internal conflict, great power interactions and country-specific stuff that could make playing France more like playing the HRE in CK2. Maybe not super difficult, but definitly full of interesting challenges.

The action for which you need to have bought a different DLC?

If you don't have Wealth of Nations you can move your actual capital. Colonialism favoring those who are downstream of America is hardly new to EU4 with El Dorado.
