I dropped out of Ck2 some time ago with all the focus started to shift more and more to an earlier date and less and less on European court politics and Crusades. I'm not seeking another "Yes, but there is Crusader in the title so the game should be about the Crusades!!!!1111oneoneoneleven" threats, it's just the part of this epoch that I found the most interesting. Last I remember was that Crusades were quite silly and never resulted in the Crusader states being established (but a random HRE/France blob in the middle east for a wile).
So the question is: have the past few patches (and Conclaves which I am eyeing) made the 1066 Europe start more interesting? Or have the Crusades been completely forgotten about?
