I vassalized a lot of states - Ramazan (gave all Karaman lands in alliance war to get 0 AE), Dulkadir (gave 2 Aq Qoyunlu provinces in alliance war), Syria (got unlucky Mamluks took Rakka, had to fight them once to get Antakiya and released Syria).

Hungary had the smarts to take most of Bosnia, Serbia, all of Wallachia. I just force vassalized both and retook their provinces, and took one province of Wallachia and Transylvania each. Next war I took those too. By the third war Hungary had also lost Slovakia (and Pest) to Bohemia and Poland. I vassalized them through war, Bohemia declared on hungary so I got into that and returned provinces.

Poland I had only one war to release Moldavia, give back Crimean cores and also took one Galicia-Volhynia core for future.

Also diplo-vassalized Medina, Dalmatia, force vassalized Croatia.
What ideas did you pick to diplo integrate on time?

Well some of the vassals like Tunis, Algiers, Moldavia, Crimea, Hungary, Croatia, Dalmatia still remained in 1530. I think I started integrating, Dulkadir, Bosnia, Ramazan together. This was when I started falling behind in diplo tech but I caught up eventually. Also the Mission that gives you +1 to Diplo Rep, -25% diplo annex cost useful.
I just went Diplomatic ideas (full), Admin Ideas (3), Espionage Ideas (4). I was getting too stacked in ADM mana, or I'd tech MIL tech I guess since I wasn't coring much.
Also yes Statesman Advisor.

Did another run. Conquered Egypt before 1505. I had a little help this time in that Makuria had attacked the Mamluks just before I did, so that immediately after taking the rest of Mamluk Egypt, I could take the remaining bit from Makuria. Didn't even have to break a truce this time.

But, I think I can do better.

I conquered Egypt by 1518, just two years later than the historical Ottomans. I got coalitioned twice, once I just had to wait it out, and the 2nd time they attacked just before I attacked the Mamluks. I was able to defeat the coalition and take all of Egypt.

But now I can't conquer Hungary by 1521.
This my third proper Ottos game, but only my second attempt as rushing for mamelukes. They're just contained within Nile now.
Issues I had with my game:
France went defender of faith so didn't attack hungary until I realised I could just threaten Austria
Laidslaus survived and when he became ruler in austria, he PU'ed hungary
QQ guaranteed AQ, I should have just peaced QQ out early and came back to them and got greedy so peaced both out for Syria and Iraq cores. This delayed getting Levant mission for claims on the south
Cyrpus allied Mamlukes so it wasnt as reliable a truce reset, as it was 5 years + 5 years, rather than just 7 or so saved.
Didn't balance coalition so stroke at an AQ which somehow got cores on basra which had allied mamlukes and this probs screwed the truce's planned
Timeline exploit meant venice was in HRE which meant epirus could join HRE once I annexed byz, so I had to sort out truces with genoa that I had from attacking Cyprus. Delayed conquest of Greece meant delayed conquest of Serbia and Bosnia.
Annexed all of serbia and bosnia in 1 war, except montenegro, because serbia grew by dev after I made Hungary return Belgrade, whe, the WS said it would be 100%.
Took too long to start my first war with mamlukes even tho due to timeline exploit I started with cores on hejaz
I prefer to wait until unlocking first national idea before annexing anyone except byz, probably mistake and should have given claims to ramazan and fed them.
Crimea became my vassal on the death of their 2nd khan not their 1st one.
The third war with hungary took Afold and released Nitra, so I could vassalise the 'principality of upper hungary' in advance, but due to wanting to save on dip, I didn't ally them, so my ally bohemia took them

I should be able to conquer hungary in time for mohacs. Even tho they wouldnt have central hungary until 1541. Striking at Tunis should have been done earlier but good to have western med holdings, and vassal timurids is really good even with reduced cores from timeline exploit
Any reccomendations on how I could have done better
