I actually do hope you guys did this on purpose because if so I just fell more in love with you and also it seems I am the only one that has noticed it, but if you could confirm it would be awesome!

So getting to the point in the 70's an anime going by the name of Uchuu Senkan Yamato (Space Battleship Yamato) or as it's known in the west as 'Star Blazers" was quite a big thing, hell my dad watched it and I had no idea. A modern adaptation (with a new season coming this month :D) also came out recently. And in this show (without getting into details and spoiling which by the way what I am going to say does contain a major spoiler so you've been warned) humans have to get to an alien system known as Salezar to a oceanic planet named Iscandar (yes like the one in game) and along with it a twin planet known as Garmillas (Or Gamilla in the orignal show) which looks an awful lot like the Toxic Planet we have in Stellaris, as well as another barren planet with an asteroid belt. Along with these 3 the system has a total of 6 planets.

Now I just happened to run into an identical looking system in-game with the right star and same looking planets (excluding the one with the asteroid belt as it is supposed to be a gas giant). I since took it over and named everything appropriately.

So all I wanted to know was if someone in the dev team had watched it and thought it would be a cool little Easter Egg to put in :p

I think it's from a mod. There's no mention of a system called "Salezar" in Stellaris' files,

So you're talking about just the composition of the solar system? That's pretty much completely randomly generated, but with hundreds of systems per game it makes sense any particular make-up is going to happen eventually.
There are a ton of easter eggs in star names however, I've caught many from various sci-fi franchises. And Paradox injokes, like Ulm and cKnoor. One of my core worlds in my current game is Brussels, located in the Belgium system.

Well likewise. I'm aware of the system names, but though they are all randomly generated. Having a set generated system in the game is a likely possibility. Games like Elite Dangerous do this. I thought the same at first but the right star type, the right amount of planets, two of which just happened to look like they did and the furthest third being quite large with an asteroid belt. Just felt a little to good to be a coincidence. Hence why maybe the devs would let me know if I found something or not :(

There are set generated systems sure, but to me this just sounds like a standard randomly generated system. If they were going to have such an easter egg, why would they make it a system setup instead of adding Salezar (or Iscandar) to the star name lists like everything else?

Because that would be to obvious perhaps :p Especially because of how noticeable the names are.

Ther are only a handful of pre-set systems (FE systems, ours, Unity, some gueardians, a few flavour ones like Sanctuary). You can find them all in the files. Those you found are not among them. It's just RNG.
