Rogue's battlefield enchantment "Smoke Screen" works asymetrically, in that only allied units are protected from enemy ranged attacks (according to in-game combat tooltips and Wikia).
I'd expect that a "thick fog covering entering battlefield" would be like summoning the Mists of Avalon. Both allies and foes should be affected, or are caster's units wearing special googles? This wouldn't counter a Rogue's strategy too much, as this fog would benefit their most deadly, melee units: assassins and shadow stalkers.
I propose that PBEM mod grants +4 DEF and +4 RES to any enemy unit as well.
