*First of all: Sorry for bad grammer ect. I'm not a native english speaker, if you lazies would all learn some german it would be easier for me!*

Unfortunately this doesn't work in ironman but i don't think achievement vultures care about it.
Edit: The 2nd color isn't working for now. Ignore the text that looks like this.

What you'll need:
Notepad++
Some knowledge how to edit a savegames.

Soo... You just carved out your own piece of land in europe but don't want to go with the existing titles for a kingdom or an empiere. Charlemagne gives us the opportunity to create ower very own realm!

But after you done it, you discover that the color pattern and/or the Coat of Arms...suck like a vacuum cleaner.

Like this:

germania1ersx6.jpg

Now you'll need to open the console (shift+3) and use the "charinfo 1" (without quotation marks) command. You need your charakter ID of your current cahrakter. Then save the game without compressing the save file:

savegames9sbr.jpg

Checkbox off!

Now open your savegame with notepad++ or a similar programm. Search with your char ID for your char, to learn how your title is called. Should be the top liege title. Then search for that and it should look like this:

notepad1t8s78.jpg

What you'll be looking for is the "color=". Thats the the RGB color for your realm in political map mode. Here you can play around with the colors as you like. Color table example
If you also want to edit the secoundary color you'll need to add a new paragraph with "color2=".

notepad3emjtf.jpg

The 2nd color is only used on units and your borders. If you didn't edit the 2nd color it's white by default.

After all that it could look like this:

germania2h4os9.jpg

If you want to change your CoA too, scroll down al little untill you'll find this:

notepad24esxf.jpg

There are planty of tutorials in the interweb, how to change a CoA - so i don't explain that. Would be also to long.

I hope i diddn't forget anything... If so, let me know!
So, enjoy your game with your more custom custom kingdom/empire.

Thanks for this! I had this exact problem, with the very same custom empire you've shown, it being almost exactly the same colour as k_poland. I'll get editing in my savefile right away and see what I can whip up.

If I were to go into the save file and find the name of my new empire, then add a CoA for that empire the normal way (i,e adding the flag to the flag folder with the name of the title) would that work?

To be honest, i diddn't tested the change of the CoA. But because it looks the same like the dynasty CoA it should work the same way.

I must be missing something obvious but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to change the CoA on custom titles. Anybody know of a tutorial or something that can point me in the right direction?
