Small nitpick with the map of the Canada region

In the region above Manicouagan, there is now (or there was), the wasteland, there is a small lake with an island in the middle.

That's indeed Lake Manicouagan...an artificial lake and an artifical island from the seventies.

Honestly, not that many, since human-related changes of landscape large enough to be clearly noticable on a worldmap are not THAT common. (Many areas in the Sahel region could have a different terrain, that said)

Apparently Michigan is very swampy and filled with plains. I am guessing this means the glacial retreat that formed the gentle rolling hills and the endless old growth forests that dominate the majority of the state today were all artificially created in the mid 1800's.

Oh no way, I never knew that formed as a reservoir. Then again I live in Ottawa and we're surrounded by dams to the north. Looks like there are 4 dams on that river.

This is correct (that is, you are correct, EUIV, however, is not), the Western inlet were knocked open during a severe storm in the late 19th century. Moreover, IIRC, Limfjorden is closed in the eastern end, where it has always been open.

I noticed earlier that the Indian wasteland province of "Megalahaya (or similar spelling)" and tried to find some evidence to explain why it was a random wasteland province surrounded by regular terrain, and quite far south of the Nepalese wasteland area. The only reference I could find had to do with logging and mining from the 1950s onward.
