-Secondly why in god name is Harold's dynasty called the "of Wessex"'s. Is this a temporarily place-holder because as his name shows Harold Godwinson was from the House of Godwin. The House of Godwin (Godwinsons) and House of Leofric (Leofricsons) were the most powerful Saxon houses at the time of William's conquest. Why not portray this?

In CKII, patronymics are shown separately, and we avoid using them as dynasty names whenever possible. The full name of Harold, which can be seen in-game, is Harold Godwinson of Wessex. The regnal number is wrong because there are currently no kings prior to Harold scripted in the history files.

Take a look at the interface of CK2. In one of the videos. Any CoA on the map is a King-tier title, or at least an independent ruler. Zooming in should reveal lower-tier people and vassals, but all shields seem to equally fancy. What matters is that there's no obvious clue there as to tier.

As of now, only independent rulers shields show on the map. Their shield however does reflect their tier, both in size and design, just look at this screenshot: http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=35428&d=1304597578

What I am saying is that Paradox hasn't done anything quite that obvious so far, and have given no indications they intend to do so. Which is a problem.

On the contrary, we already have. Look at the linked screenshot again, and have a look at the frame around each character. A gray frame indicates an unlanded character, a plain silver one a baron, a bronze one a count, silver with blue ribbons a duke, golden for kings and finally golden with purple ribbon for emperors.

Edit: You are right that there are no clue about their tier in text though.
