Sometimes I lean back and watch my city services zoom around and do their job. I particularly like the fire fighters because they have these nice animation (spaying water with the hose and running into the burning building). This gave me the idea, that players should be able to watch more episodes of daily life in a city. This would best work as random events that pop up ocassionally or even rarely, when the player is on a close zoom level and not expecting it (like easer eggs).

Examples what could happen:
- People moving in their new house carry furniture (e.g. a sofa) from a van into their home
- People celebrate a small party in their garden
- A cat strolls around the gardens, sneaking on some prey (which is invisible for the player)
- A dog has run away and is chased by its owner
- Two dog owners meet and chat away while their dogs play with each other
- Children playing hide and seek in a park or school yard
- Cops have stopped a car and give the driver a ticket for overspeeding
- Some construction workers on the road doing something (only in areas where this does not block traffic)
- A shoplifter running out of a shop being chased by the owner
- A car accident or broken down car (only in areas where this does not block traffic)
- etc. etc.

It is clear that these random events need to be purely visual and have no impact on the city simulation as a whole. Probably it would also be good to have a switch to turn it off if it becomes too much or reduces the performance of the computer. Probably this might be too challenging for the current engine anyway, so it might be something to keep in mind for C:S2.
