I find it very frustrating how one province minors in your alliance can get force annexed during wars even when your alliance is kicking ass. Realistically, I think you should have to occupy the province for at least a year or two before force annexing is possible (probably should be true for force vassalization also). Force annexation is the worst possible outcome for a nation, especially when it's a wrong religion, wrong culture enemy. shouldn't they at least wait for a while, "hiding out in the hills", or in exile or something, to see if help comes, or a general peace is settled, before giving in.

The AI accepts force-annex offers far too often, especially when it have allies in the field. The EU AI was much better at this, it would refuse at least half the time.

I agree, that it may be annoying, but u can benefit from it as well. To annex a one province minor costs a lot of BB (4-6), so let your enemy to take the penalty and then resiege the province and ask for it in the peace treaty. This will mean just 1-2 BB points!! Certainly, u cannot always rely on this or may not want the province. In this case just take it, release as a vassal and invite again in your alliance

Europeans will be kept busy in the continent, they will not have the time and resources to colonize.
