Clearly something is not right. I have about 15 mods, the usual ones. I am uninstalling and reinstalling. There goes my city. :-( I could no longer lay bus lines and there was corruption in my transport icons.

what about your RAM? IIRC a windows 7 machine should be great with 8gb or more. If you have less, might at least part of the problem.

Load times for my machine are fine, it is the fps that is killing my cities. Sometimes it gets in the single digit fps. :( Its weird though, with fps tracker on it seems like fps is crap for me for about the first 1/2 hour, then once my machine is warmed up it stabilizes somewhere between 25-40 fps.

Reinstall has not gone well at all. The game launches in about 15 seconds. But all my mods and assets have gone. Oddly I can see them all in the Steam workshop tab but not the proper tabs. If I go into steam it says I am still subscribed to the mod. If I uninstall and then reinstall it still does not appear in the mod tab. I have reset configuration, I have signed out and back into my paradox account.

I am stuck. The game is unplayable. :-(

It takes Steam some time to actually realize that the mods have not been installed yet / again. They should be downloaded automatically after a while.
Why this does not happen instantly i do not know.

Things are really not going well here.:(

A reinstall did not help matters at all. Even after this it takes 1 min 47 seconds to get to the menu screen from launch. 17 seconds for steam to launch and the rest for Skylines to launch. Its nine seconds before I even see the splash screen.

It takes about 15 seconds to close down.

I launched task master in the background. My CPU use never gets above 25%. I also notice that it spends a lot of time reading from appcache/httpcache folder within the steam folder. Not sure what that folder is for

I am perhaps having a related issue. I can't get two custom maps to load in the map editor. Been getting "low memory" errors the last two days which I never had before and I have worked on these maps before.
Could a mod I added have a memory leak?

Well, have you tested things without the mods? That is usualy the best way to be sure, if you remove the mods and stop having the problems, it's most probably their fault.

Memory Allocation Failures are generally associated with a lack of RAM, either get more RAM or increase your virtual memory and see if that helps.
