Hello,

Everytime I get the message that a slave of my main species is sold on slave market, I want to buy it.
But I am always too slow for pressing Pause button. When I get to the slave market, they are already sold.

I think the duration of a slave action should be increased, so every player has the chance to buy them.
A great idea is to implement this can be auctions:

  • As soon as the first player bids, the auction lasts 3 months
  • Starting price is the default price of a slave
  • Every step costs 100 credits
  • After the 3 months, the player with the highest offer gets the slave
The payment can be implemented in several ways:
  1. The money is payed as soon a player bids. After the action, the winner get the slave, and all other players get their money back
  2. The slave is payed after the action. If the winner don't have the money anymore, the second highest player get it etc.
A auction will have much more flavor for the slaev market, and everybody has a chance to buy the slave they want (even thought they have to pay immense)

Absolutely this.

First of all, 500 energy for a pop in the late game is a very easy bid, everyone ought do so. I've played multiple games where I sit watching the slave market for robots, and they flicker away before my very eyes. The absolute quickness of this is terribly frustrating, and again, being able to gobble up 5 pops for 2500, instantly, is painfully unbalancing if you end up with some robot-selling AI in a multiplayer.

I do think they pay as soon as bid is the only way to make it work and not collide with running out of energy.
