Been living in Phoenix for a while, so it deserves a picture of its (rather miserable in the daylight) skyline:

Maybe not the skyline but the whole surroundings makes for a really beautiful setting. A nice 360 shot of the city would do it justice.

I believe there was a big fair in the dirt area when I was there last (for some NFL and college football). The drive to Vegas is wonderful too. Even Vegas has a beautiful backdrop. Sunset on those reddish mountains is divine; direct sun in the middle of summer, not so much.

So last night I was watching a documentary on the economic growth of China, and I have to say some of their skylines are breathtaking. The crazy thing is how most of them largely didn't exist 20 years ago. Here is Shanghai:

Hmm I did not, though I am reading about it now. Apparently it's happening to several of their cities. Just another of the many environmental problems China has it would seem.

Could you share a tl;dr on why it's sinking when you've read up on it? I'd love to know this but lack the time to read about it right now
