Okay I just have to say thank you to everyone who is posting in this thread, I am genuinely happy seeing all these places around the world. Now I just want to travel to everywhere, haha.

sorry to hear you had a bad experience. Iv been to over a dozen cities in the US, Boston was #1 for me.
Boston is hit or miss (I've been there the most in my travels; went there this past week). It isn't a grid based system; it really ate up its neighbors and reclaimed a lot of the nearby bodies of water so visually on the ground its just chaos for me. Chicago though; you feel very small but you can find your way around anywhere using the landmark buildings (Sears Tower, Hancock Tower, and I think it was called the Aon tower?). In Falmouth, Jamaica there isn't as much a skyline but the colonial architecture homes dotting the hills was amazing. Vegas annoyed me; a lot of sprawl and several different areas of high rises. Personally, I really dislike Skyscrapers, especially downtown. I tolerate them if they are in a buisness district that is preferably on the outskirts of a city.

Hehe thats funny I feel the complete opposite. I do not refer to anything as a city if it dosnt have skyscrapers, I just refer to them as towns. I guess I tend to rate a city based on amount of Skyscrapers.

Good thing there are enough beautiful places on Earth for both of our tastes. It's not like I cannot appreciate skyscrapers, I just don't want them in "my" city
The Dutch city of Nijmegen. Oldest city in the Netherlands. A lot of historic buildings were destroyed during WWII. The old church survived.

The Dutch really have a sense of architecture. I might be the only young European person that wants to travel to Amsterdam just to look at buildings and walk around in parks
My favorite city ever - San Francisco, I'v travelled in many country and in many city, and I haven't found such a great city elsewhere. I must see that if I could, I would live there ^^
