Hi, so, since the title of the game is cities skylines, and to share different architecture styles and cities planning, i tough it would be good to share pics of skylines.

So, i saw this Belgrade pic and it really shows some eastern europe main traces. Woul be amazing if we could build this type of buildings. Also, note the harmony between buildings and trees/gardens.

Stockholm, one of Europe's most beautiful cities!

That's a pretty big claim, because most of Europe's cities are beautiful.

How about Cologne?

Or Frankfurt am Main? The only city in Europe with an actual skyline!

Or Rome, that's in Europe too, right?

Or what about Paris with its excellent layout?

Or you know Berlin, perhaps?

Or how about Vienna?

Effectively, saying a city is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, amounts to saying it's a city in Europe. Most of them are actually surprisingly beautiful.

Thus one of and not the number one, because that's a huge claim ;) I agree there is loads of stunning architecture in Europe. The reason I'm so fond of Stockholm particularly is how untouched the entire central city feels, mostly because it has never burned down or been bombed (beyond one silly Russian bomb that hit a wooden theater stage in a park). One of my girlfriend's favorite places to visit is in Gamla Stan (old town) where there are cannonballs preserved in a wall from a Danish fleet bombardment. There's just so much history here.

And yes, lots of other cities has this too, but that doesn't devalue Stockholm in any way in my eyes :)

Great pictures by the way, Svip. Some of them show off the true power of HRD too, hehe.

I was just looking for an excuse to remind ourselves how great Europe is.

Next we can play 'guess the city from the skyline'.

You guys are too mainstream, how about some romantic central European city, which is also nicknamed as The golden city, The heart of Europe or The City of a Hundred Spires

What is that tower thing in the last picture?

Also this is to Euroecntric  this topic also needs a pic of midtown Manhattan in order to truly show city skylines :)

All dose skyscrapers, don't you feel imprisoned?

I live in a suburb north of the city, not in NYC, but I don't feel imprisoned when I visit Manhattan (the are some places that a surprisingly open, especially near parks). Also most people live outside Manhattan and commute to it so its population is only 2 million IIRC (its still allot of people though)

EDIT: also Hong Kong has more btw, were only #2 in skyscraper count

Rotterdam has "only" 620,000 inhabitants (metro area 1,2 mln) and nice, big skyline- is constantly expanding.
