Sir, the first picture shows the USS V-boat "Argonaut". The second one a Japaneese I-400 class. Tell me if they are ok, and/or if u need more.
Well, don't know why but I can see only the I-400 one. Anyway, that is plain PERFECT. Will do the icon soon ;) .
Sure, if you could find even those it would be awesome:

Germany: Type XX U-Boat

United Kingdom: River-Class

Japan: Type-A Class (by the way, this seems to be a midget submarine rather than a heavy one. Don't know then why the devs put it in... we should maybe look for another kind of tier I Japanese heavy submarine)

Very good work. Great pictures you've found. The only thing missing is colour, but I know it's very hard to find them, esp. the Type XX which was never actually built AFAIK. Moreover, I always used to make rather dark submarine icons so it shouldn't be an issue anyway. Congratulations again!

...and finally comes my turn :p . Japanese Heavy Sub II (jap_model_28_8), I-400 class:

Edit: it has been crappily resized again, here's the right one.

Enter game as Germany. Go to Technology -> Naval. Select "Improved Heavy Submarine". I'm sure I'm meaning Typ-XX  :p

;)

(The more well-know Typ-XXI is already Germany's tier V submarine: electro-submarine. And that's why I think we should rename some models, just like the Typ-XX, since it's almost impossible to find images for them to be used in game).

Well, then this is a major flaw in the research as Type XX never has been built and was NOT for combat anyway.......I agree, it should be replaced by another heavy type...what about the images in my previous post ? ...I think they fit perfectly in the game setting...what else you need ?

Yes, thank you, the images are very good. What I'd actually need are some silhouettes of those subs, just like the one Easy1 provided for the I-400 or Argonaut. If they'd be in colour and without any writings superimposed (like in the Argonaut :( ) it would be perfect (ah, and I need the River-Class submarine, not destroyer - but maybe here's the same problem as with the Typ-XX).

BTW, the Typ-XX could make some sense if we'd assume it could carry a spotter and thus be relegated esp. to scouting duties; although I agree that another model would fit better. Which one, though?

I see.....regarding the german heavy Subs...the type XX doesnt makes any sense at all....the 2 corresponding sub types would be Type IX-D1 with 87 meters and a total range of 13.500 sm (operational range then 6750 sm),timeframe 1940-1942 and from 1942 on the Type IX-D42 with same hull but dramatcially increased total range of 31.500 sm !!! (operational range 15750 sm).

...from the IX-D42 where only 2 comissioned from the AG Weser Shipyard in Bremen...

I think the image from the IX-D42 will fit your needs. It works for both types as they had the same hull...hope it helps..

Good idea. I'll use that for tier II. I will have to change models.csv accordingly, too, to fit the new sub.

Edit:
The Type XVIII is another (later) possibility, but again only two were delivered before the type was abandoned.
Will look at it; if I manage to find a good image for it and the subs characteristics fit even better than those of the Type IX-D42 then I might implement this one instead.

In my game the Stuka looks like an old Biplane from WW1. Thanks

Could you please post a screenshot of that? Now I'm being curious. Press F11 while in game, the screen will then be put in your AoD main directory.

The story with Type XVIII is that they NEVER have been delivered as Epaminondas said... their construction was abandoned in 1944 in favour of producing Type XXI instead...additionally Type XVIII could not be considered heavy long range sub as they where even smaller than Type XXI which had 76 meters and their propulsion system (Walter Propulsion) was never properly finished and never made it to production...Type XVIII was meant to be a fast attack boat for north atlantic warfare not as a long range heavy sub...
There where some reasons why I said IX-D42...they where especially developed for long range combat missions for all over the planet because of their unrivaled range..
There where many types and plans but the only german subtypes who ever made it to service during the war where...
Type I, II, VII, IX, XB (non combat minelayer subs), XIV (supply sub called milk cow), XXI, XXIII (small costal sub)...anything else is theoreticly...

It's probably a Henschel Hs 123, an earlier German ground-attack aircraft (that actually lingered on for quite a few years). Maybe you'll find the Ju 87 in the set as a later model.

Indeed, that's how we made it. Hs 123 as CAS 1, Ju-87 as 2 etc...

Ok. Here we go. But really it looks like a WW1 Airplane. You can see in the background other planes flaming toward the ground.
