well - here is a more or less complete SKIF set for the netherlands with CORE symbology, as per cegorach request for his AAR. anyway, in my CORE just few of my icon appears -
the others are still the old generic models. wierd - maybe something is wrong with my pc. i do not understand for example why the submarine model 28_0 and 28_1 have the right icons, and the 28_2 have still a generic one - and with my 28_2 new icon. since the last time i loaded the game i was unable to see my own flag i think there is something messy with my installation.

I think it is because those icons must be thrown into both gfx directories - in CORE folder and in the root, vanilla gfx folder.
In my game for example that is essential for the reserve infantry (using slots of militia) to show up with their own, new icons.
But it looks like there was something more...
Anyway the icons must be extracted to both gfx directories to work.
p.s.: i do not understand some inconsistencies with CORE and netherlands:
1- why at the start of the game they could recruit alpine divisions? i've missed some high mountainous terrain in the lowlands or is just an error?
2- why during the game is IMPOSSIBLE to recruit the normal infantry but only the "militia"?
I think is is off-topic here, but I can answer one of those.
Cannot say much about the alpine divisions - perhaps they are supposed to work as sme 'light' infantry units - colonial and so on. maybe to save the AI the cost of researching them... hard to say.
Second. Holland is much like Hungary or Sweden in that respect - true infantry divisions are abailable only after certain techs open - and that happens during the mobilization.
Actully there are many countries which use somehow worse infantry divisions before they research some techs - Romania, Yugoslavia, all the Baltic States, Spain, Bulgaria, Greece etc.
Only several armies start with this ability to recruit such units or start with certain divisions - usually those which kept a large standing army or more professional army - Poland is a good example.
The Netherlands seem to fit that profile perfectly.
But in general I think you could aks those questions using their subforum - not far from here.
