Has anyone tried to use the tags command to control a war entirely? It would be an interesting way to have a more unified approach and not depend on trying to guess what strategy your AI allies are going to have.
You can turn of ai for specific countries.
just use the console and use "ai GER" and "ai FRA" to disable the AIs of France and Germany.
It also works the other way around, first type "ai" to disable all AIs and then use "ai GER" to only enable Germanys AI and keep the rest disabled.
Unsure what the state transfer tool is. Not sure that even with the extra territories you could build from scratch the equipment and navy. Wouldn't that also effect the troops on the ground? You'd also have the equipment for the original country. Doesn't look like there is a perfect solution to this. I don't think the AI would change battle plans already made, focus trees set or research chosen. I'll have to see how it works.Unfortunately as there is no way to turn the AI off for specific countries the AI would just reverse whatever you did the second you unpaused as a different nation. Additionally it would be hell to have to tag switch just to micro 1 unit into a tile on a shared front.
What I would do, and have done, is use State Transfer tool to annex my allies and give me cores on their states so I in effect am both nations, albeit slightly nerfed as I don’t have both focus trees or starting equipment/navy (but it’s ok as the AI is a pushover in vanilla anyway). I’ve done this as the European Axis and the Allies, much more difficult to do the Allies, but more of a different experience.
Without the godsend that is state transfer tool I don’t see a way to do this efficiently/at all. Give it a look if you want to do this. Best of luck!

Just found out you can turn off specific AI's, still wouldn't recommend tag switching as that would be god awful having to tag switch seven times a minute. Just annex everything to you and core it.
San check?@Whoman69 the above. But you are descending into the 666 planes of micro hell where you can easily fail your San check if you attempt this. It is not for the faint of heart.
Your lack of knowledge of C'thuluhu mythos is good for your sanity.San check?
Always wanted to read that. Maybe when I retire if I'm not playing too much hoi4. Just heard that all of our problems were caused by a portal to hell opening up in 2016 due to baby shark coming out, that we were finally able to get closed last week.Your lack of knowledge of C'thuluhu mythos is good for your sanity.
State transfer tool is a mod. It's great. That and player lead peace conferences are essential to preventing bordergore. The AI does change orders already made. It puts units under a million different generals and 10+ theaters, it's ridiculous.Unsure what the state transfer tool is.
